I am no longer developing or maintaining World of Warcraft addons. I haven't played in years, and don't have the time or interest to continue working on addons for a game I don't play anymore. If you are an addon author interested in continuing one of my addons, please see https://phanx.net/addons/. If you are an addon user, sorry, but there won't be any more fixes or updates from me. |
(*) As of Patch 5.4 using Up/Down to access previously entered chat lines without the Alt key is limited to non-secure commands only. If you need to access previously entered secure commands (like /cast or /use) you will still need to hold the Alt key.Options & Commands
(**) If a channel is sticky, then after talking in that channel, the chat input box will open to the same chat type again, rather than making you type /g or /ra again.
Some additional options, such as customizing which channels are made sticky and what abbreviations are used for channel names, are available by editing the Core.lua file in a plain-text editor such as Notepad. If you break something, download a fresh copy and try again.Language Support

"Linking your profession window to other players does not work correctly." Seems like it's a problem on Blizzard's side of things. |

I have the same problem. Can't click tradeskill links. PhanxChat is the only mod I'm using related to the chat.

Right click your chat window tab and look in the menu if you see "Make Interactive" or "Make Uninteractive". At least I think that it was those exact words, though I might be mistaking, but if I am, then it's something VERY similar to it. It's possible you clicked it by mistake. I'm pretty sure that's the problem you're having. |

Kalec:
Error fixed; I'll push a release later tonight. hevi99: I'm not seeing any issues with tradeskill links in chat, or any other types of links. Does the issue occur when no addons are disabled? If so, it's a Blizzard bug. Does it occur when PhanxChat is the only addon enabled? If so, I'll need to know what your settings are if I'm to have any hope of reproducing the issue. If not, it's a problem with another addon, and you'll need to reenable your other addons one by one until the problem reappears, and then report the issue to the author of the addon causing the problem. |

I can't click on tradeskills linked in chat. I can click on other things like items and stuff. I've read of prat and chatmod doing the same things, not sure if it's something with blizzard or not, or anything you can work around, just throwing that out there incase you can come up with a fix.

Could you be more specific? Saying that something doesn't "seem to work" is too vague to be useful in any way. What version of the addon are you using? What version of WoW are you playing in? Do you have the "Disable chat tab flashing" option enabled? What steps are you taking to test? If you are unable to provide this kind of information, I will be unable to figure out why you're having a problem, or fix it.

Open the chat edit box and type "/g Hi!". Press Enter. Open the chat edit box again. You're already typing to Guild chat without having to type "/g" again. Guild chat is "sticky".

Sticky Channels
Hi,
Great addon! This is just a general question for my personal knowledge. What is a "Sticky" channel? I have seen this term before and see it in the options but I don't change it because I am not sure what it is for. Please explain... Thanks, Twidget |

Text outlining has already been requested and declined several times. You can feel free to add it yourself (as you already have) but it won't be added to the official release version of PhanxChat. In the future, you can see which feature requests have already been declined by reading the "Feature Requests" section of the addon description and the "Declined Features" section of the PhanxChat FAQ page on my portal which is linked there.
