Due to extensive changes, nearly all text in Ellipsis was altered rendering language translations for anything but English inaccurate. Anybody willing to take on the task of translating the mod (and the options especially) into other languages, please PM me and we can sort out getting the mod translated once again. Thanks!
Ellipsis (indicating omission)
Typography - A mark consisting of three periods, colloquially known as 'dot-dot-dot'.
Ellipsis is an addon that features multi-target aura tracking for spells that you (and your pet) cast on others. Additionally it keeps track of your pets spells when cast on others, tracks ground-targeted AoEs, temporary minion summons and totems. Cooldowns for your items, pet abilities and your own abilities can also be tracked. Options can be accessed by typing either /ellipsis or /...
Terminology
Aura - HoTs, DoTs, Buffs & Debuffs cast by you or your pet
Unit - Yourself, your pet, party members or hostile mobs (basically anything you can hurl spells at)
Auras, Units & Unit Groups
All auras you cast are attached to the unit they are cast on and these are then seperated into one of 7 groups when displayed. The first 4 groups are based on what the unit is, the 5th is a special case (see The Non-Targeted Unit below), and the last 2 are overrides for your current target and focus to keep them seperate (if desired) from every other displayed unit. Each group can be assigned to any of the 7 available display frames, and multiple groups can be assigned to a single frame.
Example: Assign all harmful units to frame [1], and your target to frame [2] to quickly reference the DoT situation on your current target 'pulled out' from the mess of all your other DoTs.
The Non-Targeted Unit
Some auras exist without any unit to attach themselves to such as temporary minion summons, totems, and ground-targeted AoE spells. These are all grouped together under the special Non-Targeted unit, which is the sole member of the non-targeted group (and can be assigned to a display frame and sorted just like any other unit).
Installation
There are two 'mods' included with Ellipsis, the main mod itself (folder: Ellipsis) and the configuration options (folder: Ellipsis_Options). Only the first is required to use the mod, though you will not be able to change options without the latter; Ellipsis_Options is also Load on Demand and thus won't use up any resources until you begin changing options (which is also why its a seperate folder/addon).

Edit: This bug is fixed I believe, and will be in the next version.
Edit: If they were in your group (I really hope they weren't :>), can you please run more tests on this as in my own testing, everything was picked up fine when casting on group mates whether i used a mouseover, a target or a focus macro to cast (or just cast directly).
Edit: I've replicated this bug, though not a clue why its doing it right now, investigating more (which is why a new version isn't going up yet)
Edit: The stack bug should be fixed and the option to display the stack in the spell name text instead has been added (off by default)

as for the lack of info on swiftmend/natures swiftness; sounds good, let me know when that version is posted and i'll give it a whirl. i noticed innervate's cooldown doesn't show either so i'm thinking it might just be that anything spell related isn't displaying cooldowns. tested on my lock and well...same behavior. catches item cd's but not spells.
one last oddity i noticed. it seems like on login the mod doesn't work for me until after i go into Interface --> Addons --> and then toggle your option to Unlock and then Lock the bar again. this feedback is all pretty much based on the live version of the addon. the beta servers have been nearly useless all weekend in the times i've tried logging on.

one other suggestion i just thought of (like you need feature requests before you finish writing the initial mod, haha)...be but it would be cool if you allow an option to unlock the targets from each other to be able to move them around individually instead of all targets having to be in a column one underneath the other.
in particular, i'm thinking it might be nice to be able to move the box that shows my character's personal buffs/auras to a different area of the screen than where the DoTs/HoTs are ticking on my other targets. |

Stacks: I orginally was hiding/showing the stack count based on need but later changed to keeping it always shown with a blank string if no stack. Of course, I forgot to remove the 'hide' part of the code when I removed the 'show' part, so sometimes the count was hidden never to reappear again. Thats fixed now
Casting on Friends: You have no idea how happy I am you were casting on non-grouped people :P and yes it can be a bit of a problem for dps but there is no way i'm aware of to track buffs/debuffs on someone who isn't one of the following: you, your pet, your group/raid mates and with secondary scanning (1/sec by default) also your group/raid mates targets and your pets target Hopefully in raid/group situations, at least one of the above will pick up nearly everything thats cast (and I don't know many dps who use mouseover casts that often :>) Cooldowns: Aye, its meant to be a single 'shared' bar for all spells/item cooldowns, and hopefully with the range of options for size/scaling you can ensure it never gets 'to crowded' when everything is on CD. The version with debug tracking is posted now (and awaiting approval), but its only the WOTLK version atm, I didn't have time to test the live equivalent before raid night started and the servers are a little more stable now (get a good 20min between crashes :>). I'll check the login thing as well after raid on both live and wotlk as well as going over the cooldown thing in more detail on live. |

It doesn't have to be a column for targets (or timers) as well, can grow in all 4 cardinal directions (well 3 of them for timers).

glad to hear the HoT stacking thing is fixed! unfortunately i'll be out of town for the next few days so i'll be unable to play until probably thursday or friday. looking forward to seeing your progress when i get back. |

Really awesome mod! I just have one request if at all possible!
I don't know how hard this would be to code, but would it be possible to add raid targets on the particular set of debuff bars similair to how it will show the name and level of the target mob that is dotted up. I know that DotTimer had this functionality and it's what made me love that mod. It's so awesome for raiding to re-apply dots when you know exactly which mob just had a set of your dots expire off of. Thanks again for an awesome mod |

Edit: Well I had the flash of inspiration right after posting this, so the mod (in the next version) will now show raid icons inline with the name/level text for each target and it (should, definetly needs bug testing) update those icons during combat if they are changed. As for the bugs being experienced, can people please test the following: Mod not working on login until you do /ellipsis or visit the options via menus (on both live and wotlk I couldn't replicate this) Check cooldowns (particuarly for spells) being tracked properly. (once again I couldn't replicate any being missed (in 0.66) on either live or wotlk). One thing to note though, especially for spells like NS is the cooldown doen't start til you use the ability (least it doesn't on wotlk :>)

Cooldowns
Hey, it is possible to make cooldowns display in traditional, timers form? With bar for each and name and icon. There is no mods that can do it now (except CooldownTimers2, which is awfully bugged and memory-eating), and im sure many players will like such an option.
