CorpseInfoRedux (Beta Version)

Due the large number of addons I now maintain, I have decided to use Curse exclusively: Most recent version of CorpseInfoRedux No newer versions will be posted here.

= In Beta =

CorpseInfoRedux shows the affiliation (Alliance or Horde) of the corpse as well as the player's online status. If the corpse is your friend or guildmate, it will also show that in the tooltip. If you mouseover your own corpse, it tell's you that too. The controls are all script controlled at the moment and, as this is in beta, it probably has a few bugs to work out yet. I know the script controls and your own corpse tooltip parts work, but the rest its hard to test. For some reason, corpses of players are hard to find ( you people really need to die more often=) ). If you try it out, please leave any comments or bug reports in the comments. It seems the only way I'll be able to test it is with your help.

Also, if it seems to be working correctly, please let me know. It should say "Corpse of "..name in green if part of your alliance or in red if part of the opposite alliance. The icon of the corpse's affiliation and "Online" or "Offline" should be in a line under the "Corpse of..." line.

Once I know the basic parts work correctly, I will be adding race, class, and level to the tooltip also.

Your link to Cruse does not work, and there is no listing for this addon on their site. Has this been dropped??

The similar, current Corpse also uses the friend-list method...and introduced a whole raft of problems for people.
Well, I'm trying to improve on the original. Also /GetFactionInfo doesn't get Horde or Alliance, it allows you to get the info on the various reputation-giving factions with which you've dealt like Kirin Tor, Bloodsail Pirates,...
I used a similar system on my original version of CorpseInfoRedux last year and it worked well. I do it a little differently than Saiket's _Corpse.

The old CorpseInfo didn't need to do that. It just did not inspect players from a hostile faction. For less problems, its probably a better idea just to do it that way.

bug???

Hi, d/l ur addon a few days ago. Iv had it installed and running around to test it. I know i was running a dungeon an at first didnt notice but then it caught my eye. On my chat window it had already scrolled up, it was saying added to friends list a particular player that was running the dungeon with me (that i had no intention to add in the first place) and then take off a player that was already on friends list, and then add him back again. I notice it doing that on my dungeon walking party.

OK, one more glitch. It sometimes adds the corpses to your friends list.
