Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

The primary reasons for my post were: a) I had difficulty accessing files at WoWInterface in the last couple weeks, I did not have difficulty with Curse. My experience differs from yours. Fair. b) I want a simple way to update all my addons without having to download them all individually and Curse offers that. I really miss WoWAce Updater - thought it was a great program and made updating my addons very easy. Had to switch to Curse because WoWAce went belly-up with bandwidth costs (more complex than that but the end result is the same, they moved all their addons to Curse). At least the Curse updater is finally not destroying my system.
Again, I really appreciate your fantastic work with this addon and have used it forever and downloaded updates religiously. If WoWInterface had a simple downloader application (ala Curse Client, WoWAce Updater, or Cosmos) I'd probably try that (not a huge fan of Curse for a variety of reasons). Just trying to simplify my life and make sure that when I want to access the addon I have options to be able to do so if one site is choked. Didn't expect the amount of vitriol in your reply but thanks for replying anyway. Notice you have a Make a Donation PayPal link... off to drop you some cash so you can afford a message or some bath salts or something - clearly this last patch has caused you some stress. |

Fair enough, but it is also my perogative as an author to put my addons where I please to ensure I can properly support them. There was a time when doing this at curse was difficult, and it's still impossible at incgamers. I must say of all the requests to "WAU MY ADDON" yours is concise and comes at it from the perfect perspective.. someone who likes the addon and wants to have things more convenient for them. I can't fault that in the least.
http://www.wowinterface.com/download...Macintosh.html http://www.wowinterface.com/download...r-Windows.html I must apoligize, the vitriol you detected wasn't really directed at you or anything in particular, and perhaps I was a bit unfair to respond like that, so I apoligize.

This forum lacks a Search function, and for that I apologize if this is redundant. I did search the official UI and Macro forum and found your original thread, asking this same question, so apologies for this redundancy.
I would like to see Clique extended (optionally or otherwise) to include mousing over toons, and not just unit frames. Is this possible? If not, is there some sort of macro + clique combination I could use as a workaround? |

You can use something like SpellBinder or an addon that lets you bind arbitrary macros to keypresses, so you can press "S" to shield someone in the 3-D world via macro. Sorry!

Would it be possible to detach the frames from the default buttons?
So you could assign different buttons to different frames Frame 1 left click - Cast A Frame 1 right click - Cast B Frame 2 left click - Macro 1 Frame 3 right click - Cast X Right now you can select or deselect frames for all button assignments and that is a bit limiting I think |

Sorry if this has been already mentioned.
Thing is, before 3.0 with my priest (and this is an example) I could cast Mind Soothe by simply targeting mobs with TAB and then click MOUSE BUTTON 4 to mind soothe them, this having mind sooth on click as mouse button 4. Now, it changed a bit. After doing the configuration process and targeting a mob I have to click mouse button 4 ON the target frame to cast it. In the past I didn't have to have mouse on the frames. Anyway to change this to the previous way? |

I find the perfect combination is Clique for unitframe clickcasting and SpellBinder for "invisible" spell buttons that either don't operate on targets or require keypresses. e.g. + on my keypad is bound to my mount macro and Alt-F is bound to Pick Lock using SpellBinder, but all my druid's heal spells are bound to mouse-clicks using Clique.
