I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

If the overextending bar thing is not actually dead, let me know. I raided for a week without seeing it happen, so I hope it is finally gone.

Tooltip

[EDIT] Nvm my question. It was my tooltip addon that was doing this. Solved now



Hello.
I just installed Sbf to see what it looks like.
Seems very good. I only came across one problem.
I putted the frame on top of my screen, where the 'normal' buffs are usually.
But I have problems to see the tooltip when I mouseover the buffs.
Its all the time behind the buffs and can't read them.
Is there a way to change that. I couldn't find it and also couldn't find anything on the 'original' site about it.

That's not a bug, it's just the way things work. You either disable all mouse input to a frame or allow all of it, there is no middle option. You have to let the icons accept mouse input to click them off or show tooltips. If the icons are accepting mouse input, then the world frame beneath it cannot be getting it to accept movement mouse inputs. Either use clickthrough and have the buffs visible in some other frame where you can dismiss them, or move your frames.

Out of curiosity, what the hell do you all do that has you clicking off buffs? I cannot even remember the last time I did that while playing.

SBF already has borders on each icon, and supports ButtonFacade for fancier ones. Border colouring already happens for debuffs based on debuff type. Other colourings are something I am thinking about.

And on a totally amused note, it always makes me chuckle the number of people who start off with some variation on "amazing how flexible SBF is" and inevitably conclude with "but what I'd really like is..."

Hey one more thing

I found a "bug" that causes hidden buff frames to block the mouse from interacting with the world frame. I tested it a bit and it seems its only the first buff of the frame, it happens to every frame and the only way around it i found was to completely disable mouse input (Clickthrough). Thats not a viable solution since i need the tooltips and to be able to cancel the buffs.

I know it sounds like a minor problem but it has already caused me some awkward moments Since i use a few frames close to the center of my screen.

Hope its enough info to solve it.

Colored Borders

Hi Satrina! Thanks for this amazing addon, I´m amazed by how powerful it is.

There is only one thing im missing wich is the option to create borders on the buff icons, moreover to color them based on certain conditions (e.g. buff/debuff, debuff type, self cast, dispelable, etc.). I know something like this is already available on pitbull 4 aura module but not as adjustable as what I said.

I´m not sure how complex it would be to make an api (or just a few conditions) to color the borders. But some very basic ones, wich are already available for the timers and bars coloring, would already help a lot when flowing frames with only icons displayed.

If it is already possible please give me a hand.

instead of filtering by duration you need to filter by expirationTime to get the effect you want. http://evilempireguild.org/SBF/commonfilter.php

Ahh sorry about that. Missed it in the faq. To be honest I spent way too long trying to figure out who was the culprit since the default position of bar 3 was right where the DBM bars go and because the debuff that got kicked off bar 2 was almost always "Sated". Making me think it was a problem with the DBM alerts.

This is why sticky frames are the 3.2 priority =)

I'm having an issue with buff flowing. I have frame 1 setup to do auras, frame 2 setup to do non-aura buffs and frame 3 to flow debuffs into frame 2.

In a raid environment (lots of buffs and debuffs) occasionally the debuffs will not flow into frame 2 but instead go to their default location. It happens only with debuffs and only in raids.

Wiky - Sounds good. I'll do 3.1.6 with an update for Chinese locales

Waverian - There should be no problem unchecking Buffs and Debuffs both for any frame (at least, no problem for me). I made it so you can delete frame 2 if you want for 3.1.5 anyway

I'll look into flowing and see what's up.

On a related note, making buff flowing work for different units isn't going to happen for any 3.1.x update. It would require some pretty significant rewrite of the buff getting and showing part of SBF. 3.1.5 won't even let you try to flow different units together.

Actually, it's not an issue with different units. I just recreated the error by flowing my debuffs from frame 7 into frame 1. Again, I deleted the child (frame 7) before removing it as a child of frame 1.

Is there any way to disable the SBF player debuffs? Can't delete the frame and it doesn't seem to like it when I disable "Show debuffs" or set the buff# to 0.

Oops..I said i have to compare and use with english localisation in 3.1.5,I have to check out if there 's some other compatible problems,so I haven't totally finished the translation.well.here's a unfinished version ,i used code like this:
