LucciUI

Version: 5.0
by: Lucciola [More]

LucciUI

Update!

Version 5.0! This WILL require a fresh install if using a previous version of LucciUI to rule out any conflicts.

Revised to be even more minimalistic than before. Gotta love that screen real estate.

I will leave previous versions available as an archive for those who like those layouts.

I am in the process of refining this addon so check back for updates as they will most likely happen every 2-3 weeks as I play more classes and find things I need to add/change.

This UI is designed at 1920x1200 and is useful for all classes. See screenshot for addons installed and memory usage.

Installation

- Backup your Interface and WTF folders
- Extract and copy folders from .rar file. You can use winrar to extract the files which is available here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
- Rename the WTF folders appropriately.
- Start WoW.
- Don't panic at the mess.
- Type "/reflux switch Lucci5" - this is case sensitive, and without the quotes.
- Type /msbt, go to general and under profile choose Lucci5
- That's it!
- Enjoy!

Hmmmm...
I'm not all too sure what to say, I don't want to sound bad or anything, but I don't like it very much. ForteXorcist Spell Timer is all too small for those biiiig unit frames. And the font you're using I wouldn't recomend using as chat. It's a bit too clustery-ish.

The minimap and TitanPanel border doesn't really match the UI itself, so I would suggest you add same borders to all your panels or just get something else. ^_^

I don't want to seem cruel or mean to you in any way, It's just suggestive feedback, hope you're not too offended.

Thanks. I am still tweaking things as this is very early in development. One problem atm is the docking bar border. For some reason the other unit frame borders won't show up in the addon so I may be swapping to a different dock in an upcoming patch. In 1.2 the bar is on hover only until I can resolve it (may just remove the border and background altogether).

I also want to remove some addons to make it a little lighter. In 1.2 I used Pitbulls built in cast bar and removed quartz to free up some more memory. DBM has also been added.

Forte is something I am still learning so that will be tweaked soon also. Expect another update next week adjusting some of the sizes of things. I play this on a 24" monitor usually but a few things remain large because I also play on my Macbook.

The end goal I have by 2.0 is to have all of the UI hidden (as this is a minimalistic UI) unless the info is pertinent at the time (i.e. combat/non-combat/raiding/farming etc.). My goal is to have more screen available to the game itself than the UI. If I could, I'd have no UI at all but that would be impractical so the next best thing is to eliminate as much of it as possible while still retaining the functionality I need to be effective DPS/Tank/Heals.

Sure, later today I will send the one that's from my Macbook and add instructions for it. Most likely I will change the profile so be on the lookout this afternoon!

Thanks for the feedback!

Not yet, I am actually working on it atm. After finishing 2.0, I will be uploading a 16:10 version of it. Should be up in about an hour 8D.
