bWS - Belbola Weapon Swapper

Version: 1.0
by: Belbola [More]

A weapon swapper allows the user to swiftly change weapons in combat, including main hand, off hand and relic slot. It can be set up to swap manually on user interaction or when a specific event occurs, like casting a certain spell.

This mod is developed with feral druids in mind although any class can us it. It will add an icon to your screen showing the weapon you have currently equipped (which is why it is nice for ferals) and you can left or right click the icon to swap between sets.

In this version a maximum of three sets can be configured (i.e. dps set, armor set, healing set or something like that). After install you can drag the new icon around the screen and place it where you like it. Shift clicking the icon brings up the waterfall configuration menu. Go to set 1 and type in the name of the weapon you like to equip for this set (and maybe off hand and relic too), exactly how it is spelled in the tooltip. Optionally you can give the set a name that will be displayed above the main icon when this set is equipped.

I am using Waterfall for the graphical settings menu which is a huge timesaver for me since writing a graphical configuration menu for an addon like this would take much more time than writing the actual addon itself. However it also means I only have limited control how this configuration menu acts and behaves.

One thing for example is that you have to press RETURN when ever you have entered text into a text box to save the information in that field. So I would open the config menu and go to set 1, type the name of your weapon (and off hand/relic when appropriate) and then press return. Then go so set 2 and repeat the procedure there. Once you have your weapons saved in the sets you can start messing around with the other configuration options.

Hope this helps

Belbola

Edit: I'm about to upload a new version where you can lock the main frame as well. Oh, and it supports localization although I only have an english lang file at the moment.

Does it support other languages?
because my wow 's language is not english, it's traditional chinese.

The mod does currently not support multiple languages. Unfortunately both me and my beta testers are running English clients so it’s never been tested on anything else. I would have thought that it would work anyway, just not showing the right texts but maybe not…

I will make it multi lingual as soon as possible but the actual translation I will have to get some help with however.

Sorry for this

there is a command line option as well. Type /bWS and you should see the options.

When you start WoW did you see a message that bWS is loaded? This message can be disabled in the configuration menu but it is on by default.

If you didn't see that message after install something went wrong when you installed the mod. It's just like any other mod, unzip and place the BelbolaWS folder in your World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns folder.

Edit: Also don't forget to go into the normal keybinding menu if you are like me and prefer to do the weapon swap with a key stroke rather than with the mouse.

also,the command /bws doesn't work.
but i can see the ui is loaded from the latency bar,
and i can find bWS in the keybinding menu,
so i think that i install the ui properly.
