FuBar - SkillsPlusFu v4.1.3
Release Date: 2011.05.03

This add-on combines the functionality of avngr's FuBar_ProfessionsFu, Kemayo's FuBar_KungFu, and smuggles FubarTradeCooldownFu. This add-on is uploaded with their approval. I decided to merge the the first two because they seemed to have a rather large overlap, although both had bits that were unique and very useful (or just plain good looking). I have tried to keep the best of both. Next I wanted to get rid of another add-on on my bar and added the Trade Cooldown functionality. It took me a while to get the salt shaker support correct, as I'm still figuring out the event flow.

On popular demand, I added the option to show the skills for your other toons.

SkillsPlusFu is currently localised only for English, but should be easy to expand to cover other languages. However, by using BabbleLib it should at least properly for those languages supported by that library.

Use
The FuBar menu will display either Skills or the name of a skill that can be used to make things (so, say, Mining doesn't show, but Smelting does). Behind the skill (name and/or icon depending on your preferences) the number of cooldown items is displayed. This display show (total item - items ready) This will not be shown when you have no cooldown items for any of the toons you play.

By selecting the (right-click) menu you see all skills that you can use to make things with for your current toon. Selecting one of these skills will open the relevant skill window and put it's name/icon up in the FuBar. Clicking this later will open the associated skill window again. The last used skill is saved between sessions.

Options
Show skill label - Toggles the display of the skill name (or the text skills) on the FuBar. Use this when you want to show only the icon and the cooldown info.
Show boolean skills - Toggles skills that do not progress, this includes proficiencies.
Show other player skills - Allows you to select which other toons and skills are shown.
Show cross faction skills - Toggles whether the skills mentioned above include those of other faction toons.

Show player names - Toggles display of the player names in the cooldown info
Show cooldown notification - Toggles displaying the cooldown info on the FuBar
Clear current cooldown data - Clears the current cooldown database.
Hide cooldown data for - Allows you to hide a specific cooldown

Complete changelog

Acknowledgements
This add-on is based on avngr's FuBar_ProfessionsFu, Kemayo's FuBar_KungFu, and smuggles FubarTradeCooldownFu. Thanks guys!

I'd like to add a special thank you to avngr who put me on this path by pointing out to me how easy it was to expand FuBar_PetInfo to my wishes.

Furthermore I'd like to thank all of you who helped me by logging bugs and offering suggestions. Thanks!

Re: Re: Re: lockpicking gone?

Hi Lasgraen
I'm working on a German Translation for the Light version, which I hope to upload soon. The Mining skill, btw, is there is needed so I can detect whether you can Smelt

As for Lockpicking, it was indeed missing from the full version. This too is corrected and needs a little testing before uploading it.

Thanks for the kind words =)
Maybe it's a typo ^^
The english names don't work with the german client, so maybe that's all.

Nice addon except for the missing translation
So I just registered here to post some german translations... these should work, although I cannot check all of them.

Code:
SKILL_ALCHEMY = "Alchimie",
SKILL_BLACKSMITHING = "Schmiedekunst",
SKILL_COOKING = "Kochkunst",
SKILL_DISENCHANTING = "Entzaubern",
SKILL_ENCHANTING = "Verzauberkunst",
SKILL_ENGINEERING = "Ingenieurskunst",
SKILL_FIRSTAID = "Erste Hilfe",
SKILL_FISHING = "Angeln",
SKILL_LEATHERWORKING = "Lederverarbeitung",
SKILL_LOCKPICKING = "Schlossknacken",
SKILL_PICKLOCK = "Schloss knacken",
SKILL_MINING = "Bergbau",
SKILL_POISONS = "Gifte",
SKILL_SMELTING = "Verh\195\188ttung",
SKILL_TAILORING = "Schneiderei",
I successfully tested blacksmithing, first aid, fishing, smelting and cooking. Mining doesn't really do anything when there's no ore around

oh, by the way, I was using the light version ^^

If so, why?

thanks for a great Fubar module!

The only real reason for not doing full international support is that I don't have access to the correct names and translations. While I consider myself virtually fleunt in English, I'm not vain enough to feel the same about my skill in German and French (not to mention Chinese )

I'll see if I can start working on a German language lua, but I'm likely to need some more help. Mind if I email you when I get stuck?

I'm getting this error when I mouse over it on the bar:

Interface:AddOns:FubarSkillsPlusFu:SkillsPlusFu.lua:663: attempt to index global 'FuBarUtils' (a nil value)

International support

It would be great if you (any many other FuBar plugin authors) could release international versions. I'm still using Titanbar and the plugins for even some of the "important" and well maintained Fubar plugins are not working correct in non-english environment.

I tested your SkillsPlusFu an german WoW (deDE) and found that if I edit the SkillsPlusFuLocals.lua file the tradecooldowns are working for the active player:

COOLDOWN_ELUNES_LANTERN = 'Elunes Laterne',
COOLDOWN_ELUNE_STONE = 'Elunes Stein',
COOLDOWN_MOONCLOTH = 'Mondstoff',
COOLDOWN_REFINED_SALT = 'Raffiniertes Tiefsteinsalz',
COOLDOWN_SALT_SHAKER = 'Salzstreuer',
COOLDOWN_SNOWMASTER = 'Schneemeister 9000',
COOLDOWN_SNOWBALL = 'Schneeball',
COOLDOWN_TRANSMUTE_MATCH = 'Transmutieren',
COOLDOWN_TRANSMUTES = 'Transmutationen',
COOLDOWN_CREATE_ITEM = 'Ihr stellt her',

However, I don't see the professions for my alts and I don't see the tradecooldown in the title for Alts (say: my alchi is ready to transmute arkanit, I see "Skills (1/2)" in the title, if the alchi is logged in but "Skills (0/2)" if my main is logged in.

It would be great if you consider international support, but maybe this is not intended at WoW-Interface, unlike Curse or ui.worldofwar.net there isn't even an indicator, whether or not a plugin has international support.

Oops. I'd better fix that...

How about a FuBar 2.0 version of this addon?
I'm working on that. It was delayed because I was frantically trying to shove those dynamic menus into an option table. I hope to have it upgraded within the next week, though.

The option "Show skill label" should do that, but that seems to have broken. Best fix it before I upload the current version

Nope, no bug As Razag said, the skills you can activate are show in the (right-click) menu. Once you select one there it shows up at the bar level of FuBar and can be clicked (or linked to a hot key)

As there don't seem to be a "bug list", I post it here. Should there be a possibility to click on the skill in the tooltip, in order to show its window? The only place I can bring skill window up, is rightclick, select skill from the dropdown menu. Should the skills in tooltip be also clickable? If yes - then there's a bug
