The ability to color the border of my targets frame works fine for this, so I can very easily distinguish my current target using Tidy Plates.

The problem is, I really like all of my nameplates to be near 100% alpha (I have Aloft set to 1.0 for my target, and .925 for all other targets). I cannot seem to find a way with Tidy Plates to control the alpha of frames which are not my target. They are too transparent for me to comfortably see - is there a way to up the non-target alpha?
Currently with Tidy Plates there is no separation from the default nameplates which currently does not allow complete alpha control. Default nameplates will drop the alpha of all none targeted nameplates.

The Beta version of Tidy Plates (available here) has been separated from the default nameplates and alpha control is available. I've not been able to mess with that version much but I'm looking forward to making a new beta version of Threat Plates that will offer what you're looking for.

After this past Tuesday's maintenance, I've been encountering some issues with multiple mobs in 5-mans, Raids and Battlegrounds. As I tab to different targets, my screen freezes (or stutters).

Here's the kicker - it only happens when I'm on my Warlock! For now I just disable it for that character, it's not much of an inconvenience since I run Omen as well.

Thanks again for a great addon!
I'd recommend deleting your saved variables for Tidy Plates and Threat Plates, it seems like the nameplates are looking for variables it can't find or find unusable.

To remove the border when mouse over do the following.

In normal.lua, dps.lua, and tank.lua. Look for the following code. It's at the start of the file so its easy to spot.
Code:
config.healthborder = {
	texture = 						path.."TP_HealthBarOverlay",
	glowtexture = 					path.."TP_HealthBarHighlight",
	elitetexture = 					path.."TP_HealthBarEliteOverlay",
	width = 256,
	height = 64,
	x = 0,
	y = 5,
	anchor = "CENTER",
}
Find the line:
glowtexture = path.."TP_HealthBarHighlight",
And change it to:
--glowtexture = path.."TP_HealthBarHighlight",
This will disable that line. Then add a new line
glowtexture = path.."Empty",
Be sure to include the comma at the end. It should look like this after the edit.
Code:
config.healthborder = {
	texture = 						path.."TP_HealthBarOverlay",
       -- glowtexture = 					path.."TP_HealthBarHighlight",
	glowtexture = path.."Empty",
	elitetexture = 					path.."TP_HealthBarEliteOverlay",
	width = 256,
	height = 64,
	x = 0,
	y = 5,
	anchor = "CENTER",
}

Ok got a screenshot here. Now in a raid they're green, but when they're this color green/red/yellow. The selection rectangle doesn't show up. All that is needed is the healthbar part to change color not the whole plate. Maybe tanks would like it that way but for dps that selected target feature is very important.

You can drop the opacity on the threat glows, allowing you to see the target overlay.

When threatplates option is turned on. They use a glow texture around the plate. For green/red/yellow. This texture covers the target highlight. Making the highlight useless.

Also my previous post in raids this mod is causing stutter. So it must be doing some loop or something cpu intensive when a lot of plates are on the screen.

The latest version is causing some lag in raids. Had to disable the mod

Disable'ing the threatplates option didn't fix it.

Screen stuttering that kinda thing.
