PingEnhancer
Created by Aeldra (EU-Proudmoore)

PingEnhancer is a small Windows based program, which will reduce your latency by increasing the frequency of TCP package acknowledgements sent to the game server (all kind of online games).

PingEnhancer does mainly the same thing like Leatrix Latency Fix, but it has an ease of use windows UI, and contains an additional tweak for Windows Vista/7.

PingEnhancer supports following operating systems:

  • Windows XP (SP2 or higher)
  • Windows Vista (SP1 or higher) 32/64-bit
  • Windows 7 32/64-bit

PingEnhancer will modify following keys in the registy (you need administrator rights):
  • TcpAckFrequency
  • NetworkThrottlingIndex (only Windows Vista/7)
  • TCPNoDelay

I recommend to use the "Optimize" button, it will use the best settings.

PingEnhancer is free of viruses, trojans, spyware, malware, and worms.
It does not establish any connection to the internet.
It also conforms to Blizzard's EULA, ToU and UI Add-On Development Policy.

Been using your reg tweak for some time now, the TCPAck thing reduces my latency big time.Thank you for that. However, the throttling tweak seems to INCREASE my ping, at least that's what the bar reads, without the fix i got around 110 but when i enable it.. it hits 150+

Is this a false measurement or something? Is it possible that the throttling change can actually increase ping?

Thanks in advance.

would you be able to make it posible to change NetworkThrottlingIndex to a vale between 1 and 70 (maybe higher if 70 isnt the limit) or set it to FFFFFFFF to turn it off completely? that way i can work with it to get the best balance for my pc?

so maybe an on/off button, a reset to default button, and a box that you can manually type a value into

This seems to be a great and simple lag fix! One thing i notice is that you say it has TCPNoDelay but i think it is useless now that blizzard has implemented it on world of warcraft by default?

Also i would like to know if this messes with TCP autotuning and if doesn't consider implementing it for even better performance.

Difference

Hey, nice to see another tool to get better Lag

I can't really test this for some days, what is the difference between this one and the one Leatrix did? You say something about an improvement for Vista/7.
