SCT - Damage  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 7.1
by: Grayhoof [More]

What is it? - A mod that adds your damage to SCT. It provides a way for you to see your damage in a static location. This can be useful against large mobs like those in MC, Bosses, etc...Can use SCT animations or its on built in style.

What can it do?

- Your Melee, Spell, Skill, Periodic, and Pet Damage
- Spell Damage/Resists and Damage Type (by color)
- Target and Spell ID's
- All "Miss" events (dodge, block, immune, etc...)
- Custom Colors for all text events and crits.
- Ability to show only target damage
- Four Fonts to choose from
- Can disable built in WoW damage
- Sliders for text size, fade speed, and on screen placement (with custom editbox)
- Localized to work in almost all WoW clients.
How do I use it? - First you must have SCT installed already. Next, unzip SCTD it into your interface\addons directory. For more info on installing, please read install.txt. Now just run WoW and once logged in, type /sctdmenu to get the options screen or you can click the SCTD button on the SCT options menu.

FAQ
How do I remove the damage the scrolls above my targets head? - WoW itself does this. You can turn it off by checking the the "Disable WoW Damage" option, or by going to the Advanced Options under Interface options.

My Wow Damage won't turn back on, even after I turn off SCTD! - You need to turn this back on manually in WoW. Go to Advanced Options under Interface options and you will see a checkbox to enable damage. Also, it is highly recommended you don't use the "Enable Wow Damage in PvP" option if you are on a PvP server.

My peridoic damage is not showing up in the combat log or on the screen! How do I fix it? - You have turned off periodic damage on the Advanced Options under Interface options. Make sure the "Periodic Damage" check box is checked, even if you have Damage unchecked.

I don't like friendly nameplates on. How do I make my heals appear over who I heal? - Friendly nameplates have to be on in order to show your heals. SCT will turn them on if you turn on the option, but you must manually turn them off if you don't like it (see Target keybindings).

SCTD damage is ontop of my SCT messages, how do I fix this? - I highly suggest you move SCT's message using the sliders on the SCT option menu. You can also move SCTD using the sliders on its menu. Consider placing it over you target bar.

How do I reset SCTD or load another users settings? - SCTD is tied directly to SCT. You can reset SCTD using SCT's reset button or typing /sctreset. You can load another users SCTD settings by loading them from the SCT option menu.

How do I change the fonts? - You can select from four fonts on the options page.

I don't like enemy nameplates on. How do I make my damage appear over who I hit? - Enemy nameplates have to be on in order to show your hit over the enemy heads. SCT will turn them on if you turn on the option, but you must manually turn them off if you don't like it (see Target keybindings).

Grep, it's most likely not a issue between the two mods, just some interaction between the different versions of Ace2 libraries. Glad you got it working. You could also consider Bongos as a bar mod, I prefer it to the others you mentioned.

holydiver, not sure what you are talking about. If you want the damage to appear over the mobs heads, you can't use SCTD.

Zablyplux, I don't plan on adding damage shields at this time. You could add them as a custom event in SCT though.

Grep, spell damage is working fine. Please try resetting your options or disabling all mods but SCT/SCTD.
My apologies for posting that here, did not realize that wowinterface had a more robust bug tracking implementation.

On the topic of spell damage not showing - I disabled my mods one by one. SCTD is somewhat incompatible with Bartender 3 on a fresh install(disable Bartender and SCTD begins showing spell damage again). Both Ace mods, aye ? Hope both parties can work something out, since DAB is pretty much dead and TrinityBars suck shit (not even going to mention CT_Barmod), thus leaving Bartender as the only reasonable barmod with above average functionality.

//Edit: Immediately re-enabled Bartender 3 and SCTD was working fine. I guess the fix here is just to disable BT3, logout, re-enable and they both play nicely. On subsequent logins, all is still well.

Spell damage out is currently broken - periodic spell damage works fine, but regular spell hits and crits don't show up, or they show up off screen (I do not see them doing this, just a possibility).

I gots a question, me lord.

i seem unable to move the damage text in X or Y axis, when i set it up it displays as appearing at my head. but as soon as i go bashing some poor kitten in the head. the damage appear far up on window. And it wont scroll and fade as i ask it. it just sppears then fades out.

I used to have recieved damage sprinkling left, my damage sprinkling right, but this messes that up for me.

Everything else works fine.
received damage, etc all works just fine.

But not my damage.
I tried deleting the saved variables, resetting.
I cannot quite explain it. do anyone have any ideas?

Position?

Hmm suddenly i can no longer configure this independently from SCT.

I used to like having the damage in a smaller font off to the left... but no matter what X/Y I use it does not seem to move from the position of the main SCT frame.

Still trying to make sure it's not a conflict somewhere, but I don't believe it was like this in previous versions.

OK I'm an idiot!!!
It seems the Position IS moving, but when you modify a position the 'scrolling' test message that shows up lead me to believe it wasn't moving since it was a test for SCT general and not SCTDamage

If you have SCT 5.3b installed and you are still getting that error, please reset your options using the button or /sct reset. After that you should be able to reload and be good to go.

That option is no longer built into SCTD as it caused a ton of problems for people on PvP servers.

The best thing to do would be to disable SCTD and enable WoW damage whenever you want to PvP.
I'll, THX

BTW, there is one "error": i'm Warrior, so when it appears the message 'Overpower!' in Battle Stance it appears two times at the same time, in Berserker and Defense is fine (one appear).
