Shared Media Guide

If you wish to use your own custom textures, then the best way to do this is with SharedMedia.

Step 1: Install SharedMedia
  1. Download SharedMedia
  2. Copy the SharedMedia folder from the download to your Interface\AddOns\ folder
  3. Inside the Interface\AddOns\SharedMedia\ folder, rename MyMedia.bat.txt to MyMedia.bat
  4. Double-click MyMedia.bat

Step 2: Install your custom textures
  • You can either grab textures from other downloads (such as Power Auras Classic) or create your own. Custom textures will have either a .blp or .tga file extension.
  • Move any custom texture files you want to use into the SharedMedia_MyMedia\background\ folder.
  • Run the MyMedia.bat file once again to register your new textures.

hey there, i'm a shadow priest, getting the stack points for dark evangelism, but not for shadow orbs. the only thing i've done to the config is move the x/y offsets on the position tabs. not sure if i'm missing something?

okay, i had it selected for my primary spec.. which is shadow, but that was blocking it for some reason. changed it to none and now it's showing.

Alright, found out that nibPointDisplay is causing some serious FPS issues for some players. I'm going to spend the day trying to fix it, and will hopefully have a new version soon.

First things first, I'm sorry. Due to laziness, I let nibPointDisplay get a little out of hand, resulting in high CPU and memory usage causing FPS drops.

This was mainly noticeable in raids and battlegrounds (fights involving a lot of people).

All FPS issues should now be resolved, and you can enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played.

If any bugs arise due to my major rewrite of nibPointDisplay, or FPS issues persist, let me know

Hey Nib.

First of all, I love this thing, easily on of my favorite addons and it was quickly added to the "can't live without it" stack.

However, the latest update seems to have reverted the Bone Shield Change. There is only options for 3 bone shield stacks now. Wanted to let you know! Thanks!

@%(&! amazing addon!

Any chance you'd consider adding support for Druid's Wild Mushroom?

Oddly enough, the default UI has a display for them, yet there seem to be no addon out there providing this customization.

Depends how the shrooms are tracked. Is it a buff that simply increases in stacks? Or is it the game client keeping track of how many you placed? If it's the former, it can be done, if it's the latter, not so much.

I would have to guess it's the latter, unless it utilizes a hidden buff.

They seem to work somewhat like Totems.

Mind if I ask how NibPD track things such Soul Shards?

Soul Shards can be found simply through the UnitPower() API.

Greatly appreciated.

If you need access to a level 85 Moonkin, I'd happily test things for you.

Hmm...

Try entering this script into your chat window, then cast 3 Wild Mushrooms, then wait until all 3 mushrooms fade. Let us know what it spits out into your chat. Might need to take multiple screenshots.

Code:
/run tuf = CreateFrame("Frame"); tuf:RegisterEvent("PLAYER_TOTEM_UPDATE"); tuf:SetScript("OnEvent", function(s,e,...) print(...) end)

"1" - Upon placing the first Mushroom.
"2" - Upon placing the second Mushroom.
"3" - Upon placing the third Mushroom.

"1" - Upon the first Mushroom fading.
"2" - Upon the second Mushroom fading.
"3" - Upon the third Mushroom fading.

"1" - Upon the first Mushroom being cancelled.
"2" - Upon the second Mushroom being cancelled.
"3" - Upon the third Mushroom being cancelled.

"1" - Upon the first Mushroom being detonated.
"2" - Upon the second Mushroom being detonated.
"3" - Upon the third Mushroom being detonated.

Cancelling Mushrooms in the order of 1-3-2 would correctly report back '1, 3, 2'. Detonating them seemed to scramble the sequence.
