LilSparky's Workshop  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 119release
by: lilsparky [More]

LilSparky's Workshop adds auction-derived pricing information for trade skills right into the trade skill recipe frame. Each skill is evaluated for material costs and potential value of the item created. These two numbers are listed next to each skill in an easy-to-read format.

Supported Auction Scanners:

* Auctioneer
* AuctionLite
* AuctionMaster
* Auctionator

Trade Skill Interfaces Supported:

* GnomeWorks
* AdvancedTradeSkillWindow
* Skillet
* Blizzard's Standard UI
* Doublewide Tradeskills
* Tradeskill HD
* MrTrader
* Jobber

Optionally Requires:

* Informant
* LibPeriodicTable
(these mods will assist in identifying vendor sourced items)

Auction pricing models can be selected by right-clicking either the value column or the cost column (each can have a different pricing method attached).

The Value column can be left clicked to cycle through the different valuation methods for the resultant item: Auction Value (a), Vendor Value (v), Disenchant Value (d) or the greatest of the three different values (the default). Any instance of an item Value being greater than the Cost to create it will have a highlighted Value entry. Optionally, the Value column can be displayed as a percentage of the Cost column.

The Cost column simply sums up the costs for each reagent and reports the total.

Both columns can be combined into a single "Profit" column which simply reflects the Value minus the Cost.

Tooltips for each column give more details about the price breakdowns LSW is considering.

Right clicking on the cost column will bring up a menu offering the ability to override item price and vendor availability on a per-reagent basis.

Bug (?)

Hello,

First of all thank you for writing this add-on.

I downloaded the new version 88b and noticed that I need to open profession window twice to get LSW working now.

i.e. I open my profession window once and nothing happens. Costs and sales fields are there but they have zero values. I close the profession window, open it again, and voila! LSW is updating the prices nicely.

I am also using Auctionator as AH add-on.

Anyone else came across this? If so, could you let me know how to solve this? It is not game-breaking, but just a bit irritating.

Once again, thanks for the add-on.

yeah, i broke something in the sorting mechanics for the vanilla skillet support. thought i had fixed it, but i guess not. you should probably switch to my branch of skillet for now, tho. the link is in the curse.com description for skillet. it's got some issues, but i think it's better than vanilla skillet.

Since the patch, I'm getting errors with LSW on opening any tradeskill window:

[2010/03/25 11:55:39-609-x1]: LilSparkysWorkshop-1.00\lilsparkysworkshop.lua:740: attempt to call field 'getDisenchantResults' (a nil value)

LilSparkysWorkshop-1.00\lilsparkysworkshop.lua:2142: in function <...ace\AddOns\LilSparkysWorkshop\lilsparkysworkshop.lua:2134>

Not sure what's causing it, but it's consistent. If I disable all addons except LSW, it doesn't happen. Then enable Skillet, and I get:

don't let the beta/release tags fool you -- they're the same "quality", so go with the 84beta. generally speaking, i don't really consider anything a "release" but i had to do that on curse cuz when the ace/curse merge took place, lsw was automatically forwarded over there as a release which meant people constantly prefered the old release over the new betas.

bad sorting sounds like you're using the wrong skillet. it's a bit confusing, i know, because the release numbers happened to be the same between the trunk skillet and my skillet (they've had the same number of commits since the split). if you have the trade buttons in your skillet frame, then you have the lilsparky skillet.

see if 84beta helps. and also verify you've got the right skillet.

Sorry for the late reply.

With no addons other than my addon manager and Skillet loaded..
Clicking my own trade skill opens up the Skillet window.
Linking my own trade skill and clicking it loads the default blizz.
Shift-clicking that same link does absolutely nothing.

No errors etc- same issue on all toons with every version of skillet I've used so far.

Could it have something to do with my saved variables?
