ADDON IS DISCONTINUED
TradeJunkie is now powered by WoWHead. Due to this, I will only update TJ here on WoWInterface.com. You will see TJ updated to 5.0 <BETA> on the other sites but that will be the final update there.
TradeJunkie shows you what tradeskills you are missing.
Tradeskills marked in green are currently learnable while red means you need to level your skill more until you can learn it.
The Show All check box in the window will toggle between showing only the recipes that you can learn vs. all the recipes in the database.
NOTES:
------
If you drop and get a new tradeskill and it errors out, just type "/console reloadui" without quotes to get the database to work. Specialization may not work.
Cooking got lost in a database restructure.
Command: /tj open will toggle between having TradeJunkie automatically open when you open a tradeskill window.)
Compatible with:
-- Jobber
Special Thanks:
My wife, Ittsy for naming this Addon
Rowaa for rewriting the script into a smaller memory stamp and other core re-writes
All of you that enjoy the use of TJ.

Hi,
There are the bugs I have encountered so far: WoW 2.3.2, French client, TradeJunkie 3.0.1 Cooking: I had an error "\Interface\AddOns\Ace2\AceLocale-2.2\AceLocale-2.2.lua line 487: Babble-Tradeskill-2.2: Translation "XYZ" does not exist", and some new recipes like "Hot Apple Cider" (last Winter Veil) were wrongly reported as missing. But I have replaced Babble-Tradeskill-2.2 by the last version (revision 58344) and all errors are gone. First Aid: No problem. Smelting: It doesn't load and the error message is "Interface\AddOns\TradeJunkie\TradeJunkie.lua:230: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil)" Blacksmithing-Armorsmith: With Babble-Tradeskill-2.2 revision 58344, the results are far better, but this revision is not up to-date with the revised French localisation introduced in 2.3.0 and 2.3.2, so TradeJunkie is wrong from time to time.

Okay I am still trying to stamp down on the bug for smelting. It appears to be something with non-english clients since mine works fine.
@Barov: I will update the Ace2 Libraries soon. |

A problem with a Lunar Festival seasonal recipe/item.
v3.1.2b, latest standalone libraries (incl. Babble) from the WoWace SVN (not using those included with the ZIP), USEng server/client, WoW 2.3.2 live. Open up the (375 skill) character tailoring tradeskill window, click the Junkie button and the following error is thrown up: AceLocale-2.2-40629 (Ace2):487: Babble-Tradeskill-2.2: Translation \"Festive Red Dress\" does not exist.\nTradeJunkie\\TradeJunkie.lua:234: in function <Interface\\AddOns\\TradeJunkie\\TradeJunkie.lua:208>\nTradeJunkie\\TradeJunkie.lua:254: in function <Interface\\AddOns\\TradeJunkie\\TradeJunkie.lua:253>\nTradeJunkie\\TradeJunkie.lua:325: in function `ShowTradeJunkie'\nTradeJunkie\\TradeJunkie.lua:197: in function `TradeJunkie_Attach'\n<string>:\"*:OnClick\":1: in function <[string \"*:OnClick\"]:1> "Festive Red Dress" is neither a recipe nor item. That recipe name contained in the TJ-I-Tailoring.lua file is likely supposed to be referring to the Festival Dress ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=21722 ).

Funny thing is, looking in the database, the festival dress is in there properly, but has the addition of the 'red dress'. Weird.
Anyway, that's not why I'm posting. Ok.. I'll admit it.. I'm one of those OCD types who wants to collect every recipe possible. In seeing that almost all the cooking recipes are not listed who/where to buy from, I opened up the database lua files and poked around. Inserting the data itself is no issue, but the problem I'm having is actually ingame (maybe you already know this), but the bottom window doesn't scroll. All the text flows out of the frame. If you can fix that, I'll gladly finish filling in the rest of the cooking recipes and share the lua file with you. (I'm filling it in one way or another, since most the time it's only the opposing faction listings that bleed over and become unreadable.) One other request, any possible way to get the coords in this mod to work with TomTom? Being able to pop open TJ, click the vendor I want to head to and have it set the TomTom Zone/Coords appropriately would be amazing. Probably take a lot of work though.

Yes TomTom will eventually be used (just got the addon recently and love it) My problem is right now I am working on finishing the core before the DB is done. The way the database is going to work will be slightly different .. In order to localize all the information I need to rework the DB a bit so what you are currently entering might not work with my new structure. If you open the new TJ-I-FirstAid.lua you will see some of the changes that I have made. (MAKE SURE YOU USE 3.2.3) Also I am programming a website to help maintain the database through uploading LUA savedvariables when you play, and allowing people to make manual changes to needed recipes. However, everytime I try to change something in the core I break about 3 other things so I have to trace it all down lol. Messy programming FTL So in closing, yes I will be adding both of these ideas when I can get to the cosmetics of the addon. Until then, enjoy dancing bannanas!!! |
