ChocolateBar (Broker Display)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v3/13
by: yess [More]

ChocolateBar is a sweet display addon for broker plugins
Basically its a Titan-panel or Fubar replacement.

Any data broker addon you have will be put on a pice of chocolate and together they create a chocolate bar on the top of your screen.

Main Features

* Easy config, simply drag some chocolate and drop points will show. The idea is to easily get rid of a plugin or disable the text. See pics.
* Load-on-demand options, and small memory footprint.* Multiple bars - top or bottom as many as you want.
* Move bars anywhere you want.
* More Chocolate - a broker plugin to show a second bar that will autohide again. Great for launchers or other plugins you don't need visible all the time
* Support for icon colors and coordinates like used by TomTom

Options for:
* Show bars on mouse over only
* Hide bars in combat
* Set a fixed width for any plugin
* Change icon size
* Change textures, colours and a lot more...

Where to get more chocolate?

.)Updated list
.)WoWInterface

Usage

Right click the panel
or type "/chocolatebar" to open the options menu.
You can also go to the great Blizz addons menu if you like
windows that cant be moved or resized...

You miss a feature or had to much chocolate, please let me know. I look forward to your feedback.

Btw, thanks for keeping up this great add on!
1) Try MinimapButtonFrame

2) I am planning on adding some basic plugins to CB like a clock. Until then you can you use zz_Infoclock or Broker_uClock.

Actually a lua file is missing from the toc. It is strange that I never get those missing lua file errors but others do.

I wanted do add some basic plugins to the addon for a while but never got around to finish them.
Thanks for the code, a player coordinates plugin sounds like a great addition to add as a base plugin.

Battle for Azeroth problems

Received this problem when attempting to use it in replacement for titan panel on the BfA prepatch on live. Hopefully it will make more sense to you. My best guess is the map location problem.

Code:
Message: Error loading Interface\AddOns\ChocolateBar\modules\Location.lua
Time: Tue Jul 17 19:44:35 2018
Count: 3

I ended up adding this function to the Location portion of nUI, which I found in part or full amongst the forums here.

Lua Code:
  1. local function GetUnitMapXY(unit)
  2.     local mapID = C_Map.GetBestMapForUnit(unit);
  3.     local mapX = 0;
  4.     local mapY = 0;
  5.     if mapID then
  6.         local mapPos = C_Map.GetPlayerMapPosition(mapID,unit);
  7.         if mapPos then
  8.             mapX, mapY = mapPos:GetXY();
  9.         end
  10.     end
  11.     return mapX,mapY;
  12. end

Since the current state of CurseForge is giving me headaches I have decided to give my addons on WoWI more love The source is now on GitHub and I have enabled automatic packing to WoWI.

ChocolateBar pushes down Chat box

Hi, I noticed ChocolateBar seems to push down the chat box, so I have to manually reset the Chat positions all the time. Is there an option to make it not push down the Chat box?

Clicking Instead of Mousing Over?

I have been a long time Chocolate lover (both kinds)

I was just curious if there is an option I have missed or perhaps might this be an option in the future, to have the menus that appear on mouse-over only appear when clicking on the item, removing the default option of opening whatever that items opens.

The reason I ask is, there are times when in the heat of things I accidentally mouse-over the bar and then obscure what I need to see on screen for a second or two.

Thank you for your excellent work on this great addon. *Note: Posted on Curse as well.

No errors here.. addon has been running just fine. Also are you running ver 2.3? The version that is listed here at wow-interface is out of date. The newer version can be downloaded from curse.com

Lib Jostle?

I've been getting this error for awhile now and I decided to post and see if anyone else is. I get it on login only, if I use swatter (bug catcher), or constantly if I don't have swatter running (weird)

Okay, tested again with JUST chocolate bars (version from here) and swatter running, and framerate dropped down to 4 fps once I stepped into battle. :/

I think I'll wait for Move Anything MOP to update to the point it recognizes all the pet battle frames and go that route, since that will let me keep chocolate bars onscreen during battles which is a plus.

Woohoo! Thank you! This solves THAT problem. However, it is causing a different issue. Outside of pet battling, things are fine. I step into a pet battle, framerate drops like a rock until I'm back out of battle.

Reverting to original lua for now, but I do deeply appreciate the help you gave!

Or if you want, send me a PM and I'll send you a link to download the version of the Modified ChoclateBar Addon that I have and see if that makes a difference.
