Hi all,

Was just wondering, if I wanted to change the position of the unit frames I would change the following entries in the oUF_NeavConfig.lua file, right?

Code:
    unitframe = {
        player = {
            position = {"TOPLEFT", UIParent, "TOPLEFT", 39, -31.35},
            scale = 1.0644,
            mouseoverText = true,
        },
        target = {
            position = {"TOPLEFT", UIParent, "TOPLEFT", 260, -31.35},
            scale = 1.0644,
            mouseoverText = true,
            auraSize = 20,
        },
Thank you for any assistance!

Try just type /focus when targeting the player/npc you want to focus..
Right clicking the portrait didn't work but typing /focus did it. Thanks

Yes, thats right.

Only the macro way work. I dont know why but think this is a oUF problem and not a layout problem

You guys probably missed my second question

I'd like to know if it's possible to change the visualization of power bar (mana, energy etc.) to "smooth filling way" instead of the old "ticking" one? As a rogue, this is really hard to get used to after the new system.
I tried SmoothUpdate but it didn't work.

there are a few things I would like to tweak but attempts on my own cause errors. Would someone mind helping me?

-I would like the text to show outside the player and target frames right next to the bars. I really want a color gradient to go from neon health green to red when low. Also having the power text colored like the power the person has (mana=blue, runic power=teal, rage=red)

-Make the target health and mana go from left to right instead of right to left when the bars deplete.

Pretty please !

Thanks for the reply!

Is there a way to have the current health/total health and current mana/total mana texts showing all the time, instead of only on mouseover?

Is there a way to make the health bar go red at a certain number or percentage?

And is there a way to show when I'm resting, like the ZZZ's or the unit frame blinking with the gold color?

Sorry for all the questions, I just really like these unit frames.

Neal made it really easy to adjust that for ppl confused by lua :P

in ouf_neav folder open oUF_NeavConfig.lua, and a little down you got text saying "mouseoverText = true" change this to false if you want it to show all the time..

You have to apply this to each frame you want it on, but i think you will understand how to do it once you open the lua file. its very easy too understand, thanks to neal for the great config file.

I'm far from an expert with oUF stuff and with that in mind your style is the first I've actually sat down and got into it to alter positioning, etc.

What I've been trying to do is make all the names on the unitframes uppercase.

I have added the following code within the OverrideUpdateName function:
local name = UnitName(unit)
self.Name:SetText(string.upper(name))
Now this does change my player frame as well as the target frames names to uppercase. However, my target of target frame continuously flashes back and forth between propercase and uppercast of the name. (ie: 1 second it's NAME then it switches to Name -> repeat)

Any solutions? Or possibly the currect way to do this?

Thanks a lot! I saw this but thought if it was changed it wouldn't show text at all. Thanks again!

Would anyone happen to know how to do the following:

Is there a way to make the health bar go red at a certain number or percentage?

And is there a way to show when I'm resting, like the ZZZ's or the unit frame blinking with the gold color?

Thank you for any assistance.

I added the following to get a resting icon to show:
Code:
    self.Resting = self.Health:CreateTexture(nil, 'OVERLAY')
    self.Resting:SetPoint('TOPLEFT', self, 41, 23)
    self.Resting:SetHeight(29)
    self.Resting:SetWidth(29)
Seems to work, and doesn't look that bad. Please let me know if anything is wrong with the way it's written. Thank you!

or will this continue to work with oUF versions on end? becouse i love it the way it is, fits with my UI, and if this thing will continue for example oUF version 2.0 (im useing 1.3.7, and its working fine) i mean it just seems perfect too me, plze someone answer this

Addition

Just to make moving the main frames easier, I've added the following code:
Code:
    if (unit == "player" or unit == "target" or unit == "pet" or unit == "targettarget") then
        self:SetMovable(true)
        self:RegisterForDrag("LeftButton")

        self:SetScript("OnDragStart", function(self)
            if (IsShiftKeyDown()) then
                self:ClearAllPoints()
                self:StartMoving()
            end
        end)

        self:SetScript("OnDragStop", function(self)
            self:StopMovingOrSizing()
        end)
    end
If you use shift-click you can move player, target, ToT and Pet without changing the lua every time.
