Recipe Radar  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.403
by: kernighan, ladenedge

Recipe Radar assists players in finding recipes. It knows about vendors who sell recipes in the current region or by profession. It has a number of filtering options and can even locate vendors on the world map.

Classic version available at: https://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info25229-RecipeRadarClassic.html

Tips:

  • There are two "tabs": the main "radar" tab and one that searches by profession!
  • You can bind a key to Recipe Radar through the main menu!
  • There are lots of filtering options - use the dropdowns to customize Recipe Radar!
  • Some internal maps are inaccurate at this time, it is currently a work in progress to fix these up.

With the new map showing the quests, the mapping of vendors is off. I tried this today and it showed the vendor out in the ocean.

Just Bought a Macbook ...

and I've got WoW loaded, but I was wondering if I can load recipe radar. I really use it a lot on my main PC, but I am so new to Mac's and have a big learning curve.

Is there a tutorial somewhere that explains Mac's and WoW addons in general?

Thanks for your help =)

Dead or Alive?

Is this addon done for or is the Author waiting for Cata? currently all the vendors are way off true location due to Blizzards new mapping system.

Thanks to whoever can answer this

I didn't looked into it's code yet.
However, knowing the addon functionality, chances are, there's a good hope for it's revival.
No promises, though. Don't hold your breath. I already have 99% of vendor recipes and not really need this addon any more. May only take it for a challenge.

Its a VERY sad loss, but....
And we are going to need a similar one for Cata now, wont we? xD

For my part, if I find a good one, I will post it here...

I know.
It's probably worth asking them to pickup the burden.

Especially since they tightening integration with Atlas.

It's a shame to see this one fade away, it's been extremely usefull for me ever since I started using it shortly after it's release!

AtlastLoot isn't even close to being a replacement, AckisRecipeList is probably the best currently available addon that comes close to replacing RecipeRadar. At least with ACL you can see which recipes you're missing along with info about where those missing recipes can be found.
