NeedTheOrb is an addon that will automatically roll Greed on the Frozen Orb that drops at the end of a heroic 5man instance. You don't even see the roll box pop up for the Frozen Orb.

Made the Frozen Orb language independent, so someone from Denmark or Bulgaria could use this addon and it will work.

Removed the warnings added in v2.
Changed the roll from Need to Greed.

Added a warning message when zoning into an instance, informing your groupmates that they should also roll need on Frozen Orbs.
Added a warning message when rolling on the Frozen Orb, informing your groupmates that they should also roll need.

Initial Release.

From 3.3.3 PTR notes:

"Frozo the Renowned has moved into the Dalaran Magus Commerce Exchange and will be trading your Frozen Orb for various other trade goods."

Maybe you should take a moment to realize that it takes all of, maybe, 3 minutes to write something to do this, which removes one more inventory control annoyance. Anything with low-overhead that removes an annoyance is a blessing and worthy application of talent.

If you dislike an addon, why not just move along?

(Note that I'm not using this mod -- just checked it out of curiosity -- as I coded auto-loot-handlers into my UI long, long ago: ah hates the busy-work of unnecessary repetitious clickery)

Mortilus A Deviate Faerie Dragon Forum posts: 12 File comments: 207 Uploads: 7	wow I didn't expect so much discussion about this addon already, it's only been up a day O.O Guess I should explain: I wrote this addon because for the last year of my WoW gaming time, I have been rolling Greed on Frozen Orbs. This works because everyone rolled Greed. Over the last few months, though, I've been in a lot of groups where everyone rolls Greed except one person, who rolls Need, but only AFTER everyone else rolls Greed. That is ninjaing. More recently, about half the players I group with roll Need, and the other half rolls Greed, which is less like nijnaing, but still sucks when I'm the one that rolled Greed. My previous attempt to combat this was to announce to everyone, "Roll Need on the orb at the end of the run", which works except I still roll Greed (force of habit i guess). So I made this addon because I'm tired of losing Frozen Orbs to ninjas or to my own bad clicks. > And the nice thing greed only Frozen Orb goodness > in 3.3.3 should be out in 1-2 weeks. That is excellent news, actually. I look forward to when that happens. Should have been the way Orbs were handled from Day 1.

Did you add a message for when you enter a dungeon with a random group? I would love to use something like this if it will also warn the party ahead of time. AT least until 3.3.3 hits.. then you could just make it roll greed
