DoubleWide  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.7-30000
by: Iriel [More]

This is a simple AddOn for a simple idea -- pull the quest log into side-by-side areas so it's double wide instead of cramping the size of the quest list.

Original conception, and graphics by Kudane.

0.7 - Updated for WoW 3.0 and properly supports an empty quest log

I actually know that this can be done. There have been many versions of "EQL" or "Extended Quest Log" including "bEQL". At any rate, attempting to click multiple quests in the log to add them to your tracking list does not work with the latest (yet so old) version of bEQL. HOWEVER, if you have the options set so that newly acquired quests are tracked immediately you can track up to 25. (It just keeps adding them.)

Oddly enough, if you have 5 (or more) tracked and you try to click-add them from your quest log it will not track additional ones, but talking to an npc and getting another quest will track an additional one.

By the way, I would LOVE that feature.

Just wanted to say that I love this mod, but I have to wonder as to why blizzard didn't just do this from the start. The default quest log is dumb, and this is such a simple addon, like the description says. I thought that for sure this would be one of the addons that made it into retail code with the new patch, but nope. Not that I have anything against using a mod.

Re: Re: Taint

FYI it is not DoubleWide that is causeing the action blocked taint issues but rather another mod that protected the questwatch frame

How? The TOC update isn't leaving the user's computer.

The TOC number does not guarantee that the addon has been updated - it's not a magic cure all.
Nobody said it was. This just allows us to use the addon until the author updates it.

just make sure that you either have "load out of date addons" selected or you modify the DoubleWide.toc file from the DoubleWide addon dir to say
Code:
## Interface: 30000
instead of 20400.

then restart WoW and make sure it's enabled in the addon list.
enjoy.
I wouldn't recommend altering the interface number like that. Even tho it works fine with 3.02 it hasn't actually been updated by the author. This would cause problems further down the line when someone asks if it's code has been updated for 3.02 and people would assume it has as the TOC number has been updated.

The TOC number does not guarantee that the addon has been updated - it's not a magic cure all. It's meant to be an indication that the author has come along looked at his/her addon and decleared it to be updated.
