SanityCheck  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.69
by: Malsomnus [More]

This add-on will remind you of all the things which you already know you need to do, they're so obvious, but somehow they just slip your mind every now and then. No more wearing Holy gear after changing spec to Protection, no more raiding with a fishing rod, and no more forgetting to put poison on your daggers before an important boss fight!

Features:
* A little frame which tells you that you're awesome. As soon as you do something silly, like try to tank in Frost Presence, a red light will blink and notify you that you're a noob, instead. You can right-click to tell the red light to stop blinking and just stay on, so it's less annoying (in case you actually want to fish), but still visible.
* A smaller frame that lights up in yellow if you've forgotten to gem or enchant your gear. Right-clicking this frame will pop up a convenient "shopping list" of all the gems and enchants you need to buy.
* An even smaller frame that lights up in blue as long as you, or someone in your raid group, don't have your class buffs or some equivalent up (for example, a druid who has no stats buff on), and also Symbiosis for druids.
* Yet another small frame that reminds you to get your food/ flask buffs when you're in a raid.
* You can configure the minimum item level that should be gemmed/ enchanted, which raid difficulties should require consumable buffs, and you can disable stat checking in case your shadow priest really honestly can't find a better item than this tank ring right now.
* You can configure the add-on to disappear completely when there are no problems to report, which allows you to place it in a more visible location.
* Now featuring several great looking skins with original art by the talented trollgirl!

Since I don't actively play all classes, suggestions (and other feedback) are very much welcome!

To-do:
* More skins!

* More hunter love with the new hunter skin
* Engineers are once again reminded to put up their nitro boosts and goblin gliders

Version 1.64
* Now checking for WoD flasks
* Now checking only WoD-relevant slots for enchantments
* Bugfix: checking for low level items should now work even above level 90

Version 1.63

Version 1.44
* Added the Hide When Awesome option.

Version 1.43
* Fixed a bug in the shopping list.

Version 1.42
* Fixed some annoying error for newly created characters.

Version 1.41
* Added a separate light for consumable reminders.
* Added the option of being less strict when checking item stats.
* Fixed a whole variety of bugs.
* More optimization!

Version 1.31
* Added a reminder for flasks and food during raids. You can configure which raid difficulties to display these reminds on.
* Added a Symbiosis reminder.

Version 1.30
* Bows are now an acceptable hunter weapon.

Version 1.29
* Strength is a perfectly acceptable stat for a retribution paladin.

Version 1.28
* Bugfix: this should stop spewing errors while you have no active spec.

Version 1.27
* Added a check for engineering hand/ cloak "enchants".

Version 1.26

* SanityCheck will now check that your group role matches your spec.

Version 1.22
* SanityCheck will now check for a belt buckle on high level items.

Version 1.21
* SanityCheck will now remind you to use your raid buffs as well! Honestly, why didn't I add this earlier?
Version 1.20
* SanityCheck will now check the actual stats on your gems and enchants (well, most of them... I'm sure you wouldn't mess up something expensive like your weapon enchant).

Version 1.11
* Fixed a bug that I stupidly introduced a few versions ago.

Version 1.10
* SanityCheck now checks that all your items (of a certain ilvl or higher) are enchanted and gemmed.

Version 1.05
* I realize now that dead people have no pets.

Version 1.04
* Hunters are no longer expected to use an off-hand weapon.

Version 1.03
* You will no longer be considered a noob for not having a pet out while in flight. Especially as a warlock.

Version 1.02
* Paladins are now expected to always have a seal on.

Version 1.01
* Expertise is now considered a valid stat for all DPS casters.

Legion?

Any chance this will be updated for Legion? I love it to pieces, and use it on *all* my alts, not just the high level ones.

Thank you!

You can find the options under Interface Options.
Sorry about that, I figured the options button wasn't useful enough to include in skins

That's... really weird. The only problem I'm aware of with the hunter skin is the opposite of what you said :P

Love the new skins! Tryting to think of something for rogue.

I believe the rogue sketch involves some bones, poisons, and sharp objects. I'm quite looking forward to that as well as the warrior

As for the ring... ahh, right, there used to be plenty of that stuff back then. I'm afraid it's probably not worth the effort to fix that, since this entire module will be obsolete when WoD comes out, or possibly even on 6.0 (due to the way main stats on items will work).

Or maybe just the hammer with the wings - I don't want to kill the artist, lol!

*edit* Ideas! The light 'windows' on the hammer could be the areas for the sanity check boxes. So kind of designed like the light pauldrons. I can't look them up right now... the shoulders that Sunwalker Dezco wears and the name for them escapes me!

Yeah I found out yesterday that there's not a pally one. The artwork is SO pretty! As for pally art, I know the lion is the emblem for the paladin, but since half the paladins out there are not alliance and the lion is essentially the alliance symbol, I vote for something more neutral. :-) Maybe even a 'hammer of light' type thing if you're so inclined? The book sounds like a neat idea too! I only mention hammer on behalf of the sunwalkers.

Every poison other than the leeching poisons replaces itself if I buff with a different one on the second attempt. So I'm sort of confused.
Well, I don't actually play a rogue, but as far as I can tell damage poisons go on your main weapon and everything else goes on your other weapon, and it said somewhere that Crippling Poison is available at level 20. Please let me know if I've got that completely wrong
I deserve the stamp of noob. There are LETHAL poisons, and NON-LETHAL poisons. (They're listed that way on the poison slide-drawer in the spellbook - but only in the tooltip hover over each, not any other distinction. Oh, the hazards of reading too fast...) You can have one of each.
