Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine

SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs
Go here: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...o.php?id=12524

Version 3.1.25

+ Spells tab works again
+ Added option in the spells tab to show/not show buffs by spellID
+ Added options in the global tab to show default buff frame and default enchant frame
+ SBFOptions will now make the background for names visible when configuring to help you not overlap the icons when positioning (which can cause clicks on icons to not register)

Version 3.1.23
+ Fix an error when tracking is enabled

Version 3.1.22

+ Fixed problems with the colour picker
+ You can now remove/edit filters

Version 3.1.8

* Added the ability for users to add custom sounds for expiry warnings. See SatrinaBuffFrame/Media/SBFSounds.lua for directions
* When changing SBF profiles, the list of frames shown in ButtonFacade setup will update correctly

Version 3.1.7
3.1.7 is version bookkeeping to keep in sync with a massive fubar I had at Curse

* You can now reset the profile for the current character by using /sbf reset

Version 3.1.5
* TOC version has been updated for WoW 3.1
* SBF will no longer allow you to try and flow buffs for different units. (There's no way to make that work without a major code revamp)
* Buff and Name help in non-English localisations has been updated with the current English version. Translators will need to re-translate them
* ha filters should behave a little bit better now
* Vehicle buff frames will update and clear when you exit a vehicle
* Hopefully (hopefully!) the overextending bar thing is gone finally.

* Added vehicle to the list of units for buff frames on the general tab

it seems CyCircled may not be working at all right now, at least the one I have... it isn't modifying my action buttons from Bartender4 (maybe it just doesn't work with Bartender4 yet?) going to look for a CyCircled update to see if that fixes things.

*EDIT* forgot I had updated CyCircled this morning; r73522.6. Which looks like only 4 days old. Seems to me that CyCircled isn't having any effect on anything tho, except causing an error with SBF.

Appears that CyCircled has been abandoned, no core update for 3.0.2 to be found, at least where I have looked; though oddly enough several individual skins for 3.0.2... oh well.

Going to try button facade.

Anyway, SBF works perfectly if I disable CyCircled.

I just snagged cyCircled from Curse about two hours ago to make it work with beta 6. It was making nice Serenity circled buffs when I uploaded.

alrighty... I guess I go back to my original thought that CyCircled and Bartender4 are just not playing nice then. I'll keep fiddeling with things.

fps issues

Raiding in sunwell tonight myself and a few other sbf beta users were having horrible fps stutters and lockups. This was extremely effected by dropping/recalling totems for some reason, often times completely locking up WoW forcing me to ctrl+alt+del and closing the program. Turning off SBF beta (using beta 6) completely removed the issue for me. Wish I could be more specific about which aspect of the mod was causing this. If you need more information let me know.

Nevcaivriel, the developer of Bartender3 and 4, has said that Bartender4 will only support ButtonFacade.

Re: fps issues

Hm, I've been in Sunwell all night tonight at 90FPS but I am a warrior, not a shaman. If you can tell me generally how you've got it configured that would help a ton. One thing you can try is to go to the global tab and check off "No totem timers" and let me know how that goes.

I'm a Shaman guild mate of Sangull's and I have that set already as I don't need timers on both my buffs and my totem tracking mod. I have each buff frame set to show 20 buffs, 10 a row, on the top right of my screen. Nothing really special, some vertical spacing adjustments for texts to make it look more uniform, and I use ButtonFacade_Rothar. Tonight on Brutallus got hung up for 35s, disabled SBF and am having 0 issues on Felmyst which is usually way worse for me with graphical lag just in general. I was hesitant to blame SBF and tried turning off some other things, but the SBF disable has greatly improved performance.

In the middle of trash trying to identify the problem I was dropping and recalling totems and that is tied to whatever the source of this graphical lag/lock up is. I'm not a mod author so I won't speculate as to what the exact cause is, all I know for sure is turning off SBF helped. :\

I use two frames, both configured the same. Just my buffs and debuffs.

Layout
40 buffs, always visible, no sorting. Scale 2.0, opacity 1. 2 buffs per row, show in rows, reverse order.

Timers
Shown. Font size 6, outline, center justified, blizzard style II.

Count
Shown. Font size 7, outline, center justified.

Bars - off

Names - off

Expiry - off

Sticky - off

Filters - none

Spells - show buffs

Global options - show weapon enchants first, no totem timers

units - none set

I'll try with totem timers active and see if that changes anything. I am also going to try unchecking buffs in the Spells section, as it does not appear to effect my layout either way.

Edit: Unfortunately I won't be able to further test this in a raid further tonight as we're calling raid early. I'll do what I can in small group settings or try in AV perhaps and update as I can.

Edit: Bleh nevermind, apparently I had the beta 5 version. Beta 6 seems to have the spell list working fine now.

Re: Re: Re: fps issues

Ugh. Even more strange, I've been running profiling all night and don't see anything eating overly much processor through Felmyst. Will keep plugging at it for sure, load up my roommate's shaman and try dropping totems all over the place =) If you come up with any more clues, definitely let me know. If you can give me an idea how to reproduce without being in Sunwell, that would help a lot!

Still getting stutters/lockups on totems in UBRS with timers set to On and Buffs turned off in the Spell menu, with only 3 people in the group. It seems to be much more prominent in combat than out.

The "Show Buffs" and "Show Debuffs" checkboxes on the Spells tab are only for determining what is shown in the spells list on the left side of that tab (if you watch as you check and uncheck them, the list changes to show buffs or debuffs or both - though as I look now, I see there's a little bug there too). In any case, they don't affect how buffs are displayed in any way. It's a common enough misunderstanding that seems to deserve tooltips.

I'll run with my roommate's shaman in UBRS, then. Should make it easy enough to track down. Thanks!
