LoseControl makes it easy to see the duration of crowd control spells by displaying them in a dedicated icon onscreen.

Added a new option (enabled by default) for target and focus frames that allows show Interrupt category for NPCs (until now they were only shown for players)
Added a overlay lightning texture to Interrupt icons to distinguish them from other CC/Silence effects with the same icon
Added small icons indicating which magic schools are Interrupted (if the Interrupt category is not disabled). These small icons will always be present until the interruption ends, and will remain visible even if other CC effects with higher priority than Interrupts are displayed.
Now if a mage uses the 'Cold Snap' spell the frost magic school interrupt effect is finished immediately (although really only being reset the cooldown of Ice Barrier, Frost Nova, Cone of Cold and Ice Block)
Fixed the DisablePartyInBG functionality to ignore the DisableInRaid option, in BG you are always in raid group

Hi!

In the next version of LoseControl it will be possible to change the FrameStrata and the FrameLevel of icon frames, I hope to be able to release the new version soon. Regards.

EDIT: This option (along with other new options) is now available in the new version of LoseControl (also available in the new versions of LoseControl TBC and LoseControl Classic)

Hi millanzarreta, hope you are doing well ...

I have a little question:

Is it possible to change the layer of the LC-frames? I have set up a border-texture and it has so be on the "MEDIUM" layer so my problem is, that LC is behind the border, but it has to be in front.

Right now I'm checking the .Lua for a way to change the layer of all LC frames...maybe you can help me with that.

Hi!

This bug is a known issue when you use LoseControl with Masque (does not happen if the Masque addon is disabled). You can only move the "shadow" but when you release the mouse button after the drag the icon is moved, but yes is very unaccurate. I have tried to fix this bug several times and have not succeeded, maybe I will try again later but for now, the bug will still be there. It shouldn't be much of a problem, it's just a bit more complicated to place the frames but not too hard. If this is a problem for you, at the moment all you can do is disable the Masque addon temporally to move the frames, or set the coordinates directly in the configuration file.

Anyway, as you have suggested to me in the past, I will try to implement a system in future versions that allows indicating the coordinates directly (or something similar) for the precise placement of the frames (and the same for the frames size).

Hey millanzarreta,

there is a bug in the latest version of LC:
When you try to move a frame via /lc unlock it you can only move "a shadow" of that frame and its very unaccurate to position frames like that

Any ideas?

edit:

I've exchanged LoseControl.lua with version 6.09 for positioning my party and arena frames. It's working fine.

Hi! Thanks for the suggestions.

All the suggestions are good and I will try to implement them in the future, since the configuration interface feels a little old and not very robust and needs some updates.

Right now the priority I have is to add the raid frames, which will be the next feature that I will try to implement in LoseControl. After that, as soon as I have time, I will try to implement the configuration profiles, which is something that several of you have been asking me for a long time. Even so, all this depends on the free time I have available and it could take a while to be implemented.

LoseControl for WoW Classic is here! LoseControl Classic has his own addon page, go to the addon page to download it: LoseControl Classic

A lot of new spells from wow classic was added for classes, raids, world bosses and all dungeons!

Some WoW Classics limitations:
- Enemies buffs are not visible
- Is not possible to know the buffs/debuffs duration for enemies and alies (only if the buff/debuff is present or not), but is possible to know the buff/debuff duration for oneself
- It is not always possible to obtain the spellId for a interrupt spell in the COMBAT LOG, only the spellName is provided

How LoseControl manages these limitations:
- LoseControl uses the LibClassicDurations library (the same library that use the ClassicAuraDurations addon) to know the buff/debuffs duration for all units, and also information of enemies buffs and their duration. Since the Blizzard API is capped and is only possible to obtain this information from this library, the information of some auras may not be 100% accurate, some auras are not added yet or are not supported and may not be possible to obtain information at all about some auras. If you have troubles with this or you want to enjoy a "true classic experience" you can disable the options to get extra information of buffs/debuffs in the LoseControl option panel. These options are enabled by default.
- The interrupts are limited from players to players interrupts (this is also the case for the retail version). For the interrupts sometimes we can only know the spell name and not the spellId, so the LoseControl should assume that the player used the interrupt of higher rank.

Remember that ClassicAuraDurations addon have a option to show icon portrait for some CCs, so remember to disable it (or you will see double icons for some CCs)

This is the first LoseControl Classic version, it is possible that you see some bugs or that you are missing some CC spells. Feel free to report any bug or missing spell that you observe.

  • Added new option to allows remove the cooldown on bars for CC effects (tested for default Bars and Bartender4 Bars)
  • Fixed a bug: now type /lc opens directly the LoseControl panel instead of Interface panel

I updated this addon today for my own personal use. I can't guarantee that I added every new relevant spell, but so far I haven't noticed any missing myself. I uploaded the changed file for you http://www.local.se/LoseControl.lua download and put it inside the LoseControl addon folder (overwriting the old file.)

If you want to get rid of the out of date addon warning you need to manually edit the LoseControl.toc file (not supplied by me) and change "## Interface: 60000" to "## Interface: 70300"
