Poisoner allows you to

apply

via 2 different possiblities:

  • PoisonMenu
  • QuickButton (=> configuration menu)
click
  • LEFT mouse button to apply it to your main hand weapon
  • RIGHT mouse button to apply it to your offhand weapon
  • MIDDLE mouse button (scroll wheel) to apply it to your throw weapon
buy
  • a choosen amount of poisons via confirmation or automation on vendor visit
  • watch
  • warns when your poisons are about to expire
  • warns when your low on poisons and need to restock




Features
  • TWO Minimap buttons with a automatically updating menu with buttons for your poisons, weightstones/sharpening stones and mana/wizard oil.
    • You can choose which button you want to show/hide and want the PoisonerMenu anchored to.
    • The Poisoner_FreeButton can be dragged in the whole UI.
  • a 'Quick Button' to empoison your weapons via user defined presets with just 1 click.
  • Poison expiration warning via
    • Audio
    • Chat
    • ErrorFrame
    • AuraFrame
  • Warning when you are running out of poisons and need to restock. (TimerWarning is deactivated when resting)
  • AutoBuy to buy choosen amounts of poisons on vendor visit with 1 or without any click.
  • You can set the scale and alpha of nearly every button/menu and the AuraFrame to fit Poisoner to your UI.

Poisoner_ButtonFacade
If you have ButtonFacade activated, Poisoner_ButtonFacade let you skin the MenuButtons and the QuickButton via ButtonFacade. Download ButtonFacade



Usage


FreeButton

If you
LEFT-click the button, a menu is created dynamically depending on the items in your inventory.
RIGHT-click the button, the Poisoner configuration menu will show up.
! The FreeButton CAN toggle all Poisoner menus while in combat !


MinimapButton

If you
LEFT-click the button while out of combat, a menu is created dynamically depending on the items in your inventory.
RIGHT-click the button while out of combat, the Poisoner configuration menu will show up.
! The MinimapButton can NOT toggle the menu or the config while in combat. To toggle the menu while in combat, click the FreeButton or use the Hotkeys. !


PoisonMenu
Click on a poison button with the following mouse buttons to apply it to the according weapon:
LEFT-click => Mainhand
RIGHT-click => Offhand
Middle-click => Throw weapon

AutoBuy

Enbale AutoBuy via the checkbox on top. If you do not want to have to confirm buying, check the second option.

To setup the amount to buy simply move the slider of the corresponding poison and click on the 'Save' button.

The next time you visit a poison vendor, Poisoner will restock your poisons to the choosen amount.


QuickButton

If a standard poison set is choosen, PoisonerQuickButton is shown.

The choosen poisons can be applied with the corresponding modifiers (none/SHIFT/CTRL/ALT) and mouse button 1/2/3




Slash commands

/poisoner
enable - Enable Poisoner.
disable - Disable Poisoner.
config - Open the configuration menu.


/poisoner freebutton / fb
show - Show the Poisoner Minimap button.
hide - Prevent the Poisoner Minimap button from being shown.
lock - Prevent the poisoner button from being dragged.
unlock - Allow the poisoner button to be dragged.
reset - Reset the position of the poisoner button.
scale # - (Enter a number for #. min:0.1, max:2)
alpha # - (Enter a number for #. min:0.1, max:1)

own - Set Poisoner_FreeButton as parent
minimap - Set MinimapButton as parent (the Poisoner Minimap button can be dragged depending on/according to the Minimap)
position - Set on which side of the choosen button the menu appears.

- This is the classic position.

scale {0.1 - 2} - Set the scale of the poisoner menu (value of 1 = no change, less than 1 = shrink, larger than 1 = enlarge).
overwrite - Set this to 1 or true to enable updating of the QuickButton whren applying poisons via the menu (Presets will be reset to the choosen ones on next reload or login).
reset - Reset the menu to its defaults.

full - full item tooltip


/poisoner postpoison - Should choosen (clicked) poisons be posted in the Chatframe?
Yes: 'true' or 1
No: 'false' or 0

check - Should Poisoner inform you via Chat if your poisons are below 10% stock?

Limitations

The Poisoner Minimap Menu can be toggled while inCombat.

To do so, you have to click the FreeButton or use the keybinding which can be set via the WoW keybinging menu.

The MinimapButton (LDBIcon) can NOT toggle the Menu while in combat.





Poisoner is enabled by default for Rogues, and disabled by default for all other classes.

ButtonFacade is working fine for me, even with the newest update which changes ButtonFacade to Masque.

Button Facade Support

Such a minor issue... Menu and QuickButton won't save the colors I've set for all my Button Facade skins. Every time I reload. it switches back to default.

1) The slash commands on the WoWI page are referring to v3. The new ones are viewable on curse or in the AddOn's folder in Poisoner_Description.lua
2. The 'Standard Execute' output is a debug output which made it into release. It updates the QuickButton's SecureHandler functionality.

Please ensure you have enabled 'show LUA errors' in the options.
If there are no LUA errors at all, either your files are corrupted or your Poisoner configuration is incorrect.

I'm using SexyMap and I have all my minimap buttons appear only on mouse over,but poisoner doesn't work like that....Anything i could to o make it work?

I know that this is possible via a macro but it is NOT that easy for Poisoner because the Button is created after scanning player's bags for poisons.
To apply poison, Left/Right click is registered for using the item related to the button. The 'reapplying' is registered as a macrotext to shift-click.

To provide a one click applying, you need to register 2 different actions for 1 click, which is not possible afaik.
But I will definitively take a look into this.

I like the new shift-click feature for reapplying poisons.

However, is it possible to just have shift-cilck or shift-rightclick reapply the poison, instead of having to click on the poison first?

If for some unknown reason you find that this doesn't show the buttons to push try this change. It fixes a problem nUI users will come across due to a case specific object name mistake.

If you notice the name of the parent menu is menu but in the CreateFrame code he is parenting it to Menu which is nil or something else and thus cannot find anything to anchor to.

Sad to say...

Due to various RL problems and issues, I am currently not playing the game, nor am I able to do so, as such, any updates to the code that I could/would make would be purely theoretical and very unstable to say the least.

If anyone out there wishes to continue/adopt this addon then please feel free to do so.

Apologies for not being able to inform you guys sooner, but I guess its the typical thing that RL always has an unexpected and nasty sting in its tail at times.

Afaik: to continue the addon here would require a fresh project to be created by whoever takes over (then just link in the comments), however, on curse you can request to adopt the project (takes a couple of days as I recall for the request to go through).

I'm saddened that this addon has not undergone an update as of yet. The version on Curse has not been updated in 7 months. This is a great addon, and it should not go to waste.

With all of the thousands of addons that could go to waste, this should not be one of them. Right now it stands to fall into the same category as Totem Caddy: awesome for their time.

Someone please fix this addon, or make a new Rogue addon which does something similar.
