SUF focuses on a simple configuration while maintaining the flexibility that most users will care about, preventing unnecessary bloating of the addon that sacrifices performance. While you aren't going to be able to set the health bar to be exactly 3.14 pixels outside of the unit frames, you can change options you actually care about such as bar height, ordering, frame height and so on. To speed up configuration, you can configure multiple units at the same time through the global configuration. For example, if you want to set the height of the Player, Target, Focus and Party frames to 50 then the height of Target's Target, Target's Target of Target, Focus Target to 30 you can easily do this by changing two options instead of having to do it seven times.

However, should you need a little bit of extra configuration do not despair! An advanced option is included that will unlock additional configuration giving finer control over the configuration.

Anchoring
Are you driven crazy by your party frames not aligning up exactly with your player frames, even if it's only half a pixel off? The anchoring system will let you solve all alignment issues, by allowing you to anchor a frame to another and set a simple offset from the frame it is anchored to, or by manually setting the X/Y position of the frame.

Using the screen shot as an example, if you drag the player frame the other frames will move with the player frame preserving the alignment and spacing. Each frame can still be manually positioned wherever you want, but this gives you a way of easily anchoring and moving frames around without having to use a ruler.

Zone configuration (Disabling options/units by zone type)
Units and modules can be enabled or disabled based on the type of zone you are in. For example, if you want to see party targets and party pets while you are in an arena but nowhere else then you can use the visibility options to enable it only while inside an arena. Modules can also be disabled by zone type, if you want to see party auras while in a raid instance but nowhere else you can disable the module in raid instances only.

Profiles do not have to be swapped and it is all automatic.

Supports unit frames are as follows:

Player: Player, Pet, Pet Target
General: Target, Target of Target, Target of Target of Target, Focus, Focus Target
Party: Party, Party Pets, Party Targets, Party ToT
Raid: Raid, Raid Pet, Main Tank, Main Tank Target, Main Assist, Main Assist Target, Boss, Boss Target, Boss ToT, Main Assist ToT, Main Tank ToT
Arena: Arena, Arena Target, Arena Pets, Arena ToT
Battleground: Battleground, Battleground Target, Battleground Target

Features

  • Tags: Includes a simple tagging system that can be customized in virtually any way using Lua, even if something isn't included by default odds are you can make the tags
  • Incoming Heals: Supports the Blizzard Events for incoming heal data, no external libraries needed
  • Auras: Can be set to only show auras you casted, or can cast on others. Can enlarge auras that you casted, and hide the cooldown ring on the timers of auras you didn't cast as well to make it more obvious which ones you casted and which ones you didn't
  • Aura Timers: You will need a mod such as OmniCC to show timers on buffs and debuffs
  • Aura Indicators: Display colored squares or icons for certain auras on any unit
  • Fader: Fades frames when out of combat and inactive (100% mana/no target)
  • Class Power (Eclipse, Holy Power, etc): Supports all of the class power features from Eclipse to Burning Embers.
  • Highlighting: Border highlighting of frames based on mousing over them, curable debuffs, aggro or you are targeting/focusing them
  • Range Checking: Fades frames out that are out of range of you
  • Exportable Layouts: If you have a layout, or your friend has a layout you want to try out you can export/import SUF layouts by going to /suf -> Layout Manager
  • Profiles: You can change from any profile to another one without reloading your UI, should you want to use a completely different layout based on zone you can easily switch profiles without hassle

Pretty much all the general unit frame settings are in, health bars, cast bars, power bars, portraits, indicators and so on.

Love this addon and was wondering about 2 things:

1. When I try to track a particular faction with low level alts, only exp is shown. I can't seem to find an option that allows me to show one or the other or both. Is there something I'm missing or is this option not available?

2. Switched from Xperl and really miss the option to see how many people are targeting a mob. Is there a way to make this happen with SUF?

I appreciate all the work that you put into this addon. Thanks.

New Grid Module Bugged?

I found out its quite buggy. When I first download the new indicator addon (with the old grid indicator turned off), I may able to do /suf to turn on the setting page, after adding a debuff indicator on the new addon, the /suf command seems bugged. Could not able to /suf to turn on the setting page. Can you check if the new Aura Indicator is working properly?

Doomslayer: You made sure to delete ShadowedUF_Grid/ correct? I already checked it and it's working fine for me.

Jaylek55: It only tracks xp or reputation, I'll think about adding an option to force it to show reputation for non-level capped units. And no, there is no way to see how many people are targeting a mob in SUF.

darkninja2100: Disable color by reaction and set color health by to class.

Hi, first of all, thanks for this nice addon. I was switching from Pitbull since I had some problems with it in the arena.

I just have 3 little problems here, maybe someone can help me out:

1. Targets target does not show a castbar, and I did not find a option to activate it (for taget and self it works)

2. The classicon for target and targets taget is streched while for myself it looks ok, and the castbar is fullsize unter the manabar.

3. (most important): In the arena, no matter where I place the enemy bars, they are always tied to the left side of the monitor. Also, the size does not fit my settings. I tried several times to put them a few pixels to the right, but they will always show up on the left.

Would be cool if someone could help me out

Yup its been deleted. I have even tried delete and reconfigure both SUF and SUF Indicator, and it end up having the same problem =\ Can i know where are the saved variables for SUF Indicator files are?

silver dragon to mark rare mobs

Hi! I really love this addon, has just switched form Xperl.
But there is an option I would very much like to get. The silver dragon to mark rare mobs. It is not very convenient to read indications in the health or mana bar and people might miss rare mobs this way. The addon needs a graphic indication for rare mobs - a dragon or anything else noticeable.

And one more thing - the Russian translation is so bad that to is impossible to understand what is meant in half the menus. I had to replace the localization file with the Us version to make it readable. Also, "afk" looks much better to Russian speaking players than "ОТШЛ" (something that is never used, seen it here for the first time) imho.

Thank you for the excellent addon, but there is 1 less - is the lack of choice of direction of growth buffs / debuffs (for example on the frame debuff the player to start on the left-top, and the growth direction to the left)

Для русских, если проблема со шрифтом не решилась, открываете папку windows/fonts копируете оттуда любой понравившийся шрифт и вставляем его в World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\ShadowedUnitFrames\media\fonts. Удаляем стандартный шрифт Myriad Condensed Web, а наш скопированный переименовываем в него (Myriad Condensed Web), заходим и радуемся.

threat bar

Is there a way to create a separate threat bar?
I'd like to put a threat bar near my target so that I can monitor it.
My ui has my health bars something like this.
my healthbar/portrait----target of target-----target

I'd like to put a threat bar right below tot or target.

Any suggestions?

Alpha build 287f316ede, WoW 3.2.2.10505 live. Yet again, a missing party pet frame during an entire 5-man run.

Entered heroic DTK in a 5-man party that had a Warlock. He had an Imp pet active. The party pet frame for it never appeared during the entire run, whether the Imp was phased (out of combat) or unphased (in combat). "Character 4" in the Direct party dump section below was the Warlock.

Might have to redo how you are detecting if pets are active? Don't understand why this unit frame mod has had such problems with this while other modern unit frames tested lately don't.

Zidomo: If it was as simple as pet detection, it would have been fixed by now. See updated debug code.

oolite: No you can't detect bars.

Smoker: There isn't/won't be an option to set the growth of auras, how it grows is going to stay automatic.

elfa: Not planning on adding a graphical indicator for rare/elite mobs. Someone else does the ruRU localization, if I get a few more reports that it's a bad localization I'll pull it. Doomslayer: Update, /script ShadowUF.db.profile.auraIndicators.auras = nil and reload.

Glow2k9: Target of target is intended not to have cast bar, the only way to track it is inefficient/ugly. You can reduce the class icon by changing the full size before/after options under Widgets. I'll look into the arena issue.

I have a problem with Arena frames positioning aswell.

If I unlock the unitframes, position the arena frames, lock unitframes again, then they don't show up where I put them when inside an arena

I tried disabling all other addons except suf and suf arena.

Is this something you could somehow fix?

Some additional info:
I just played a bit around with it and it seems like the frames appear right when I put it inside a rectangle in the top left part of the screen. If i position the frames outside this invisible rectangle the position is behaving odd. (Still only when I actually see some frames inside arena)

Separating Party Frames...

Hi! First, I love your UF, I was using Pitbull 2 until I found this, so THANKS for the mod ^^.

Now secondly, I feel stupid, but I can't manage to find the way to separate the Party Unit Frames from each other. I'd like to have one on top of other one, and at the right the other two the same way, if someone please could tell me where's the option to do that, I'd appreciate ^^

Is there a command to on-the-fly switch profiles (so i can use it for a macro)? like i have a healer profile and a dps profile, but its kinda messy to switch profile via the config everytime i switch spec ><
