FAQ
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: Bartender4 buttons do not automatically inherit keybindings from the Blizzard bars (except for Bar 1), you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: Can I skin the buttons beyond the built-in options?
A: Bartender4 allows skinning through Masque! After installing both Bartender4 and Masque, you can customize the BT4 appearance in the Masque options.

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

So, it does exactly what you asked it for. Hiding if you not targeting vehicle...

do you have it set to hide while in combat? that might be your problem (provided that option's even available on the vehicle bar; i honestly don't know if it is or not)

Re: Action bars not swapping

That's what I just explained in my previous post
You can control this behaviour of Bartender through "Paging" option page, but keep in mind that to be on the safe side, you should keep in mind that one time you could be forced to play without addon (incidental patchday that broke everything - isn't that impossible).

like everything still functions ie:keybindings swap properly when changing forms. but the bar is invisible until not in combat, AND swap forms again.

Worked fine before. just giving you a heads up :P ..
There I think you have weird setting setup for your bars visibility option.
Check it thoroughly, or better - wipe your Bartender SavedVariables and start from scratch.

Re: Default Keybindings?

I can unlock/lock, disable/enable, move them around my screen; but nothing I do makes them go vertical. I tried disabling Bar Snapping to no avail. I know it can be done as others have no other bar mods save Bar4 and have a couple of vertical side bars. Any help would be most appreciated.

[edit to add]I found out how to do it from an answer over at BRK Forums. Just in case anyone else is as dense as I am O.o - the way to do it is, after typing /bar to open the config menu, you then choose which action bar to modify by clicking on the appropriate one from within the Bar4 config box and then using the Sliders bar (which is itself within the config box) by adjusting the scale to the right, you end up with a vertical action bar as thin or as thick as you would like.[/edit]
Actually, THIS one quite simple.
to make bar vertical, just drive the "Rows" slider to the far right. It will make bar completely vertical.
Or, if you drive it to 2-3-4-whatever, it will be "X" colum of designated rows (however, you can't increase amount of buttons on bar, that said, Bar2 with five rows will have the same look as it were four).

Will this addon keep the buttons, spells, macros and keybindings from my default setup?

Detailed version:

In other words, if I install Bartender addon, am I going to have to redo all the buttons and keybindings or will this one work the same way as Dominos where I don't have to screw around with keybindings and remake of all the buttons?
My reason for asking is that Dominos is not stable any more. But I completely and utterly hate the blizzard default UI, it's such a horrible waste of screen space with that dumb layout and the graphical dragon things. But I don't want an actionbar addon that move/wipes out my set buttons and keybindings either.
All I want is smaller actionbars that I can move around and flip/scale to my liking and use the exact same keys for the exact same actions/spells no matter if the addon is enabled or disabled.
I also like them invisible until mouse over but I do NOT want to re-make all the buttons and keybindings every time I for one reason or the other (most commonly; patches) have to disable the addon.
It will just work. Let me explain. Bartender do NOT create any new bars. It use already existing WoW bars to your full benefit. However, certain classes suffers WoW('s) restriction on that. Some (SPriest) less, some (Druid) more.
Bars 1&2 is the WoW main/alternative bars.
Bar3 is the right-side bar
Bar4 is the Right2 bar.
Bar5 are bottom-right one.
Bar6 is the bottom-left.
Bars 7-10 is the shapeshifter's bars. (I.e. Bar7 = Shadowform(spriest) or Bear Form(Druid))

You can assign your hotkeys to them and (even they wont light up on Bartender bars) still use for the live being.

If you want an example, I'm (a Shadow Priest) use this following setup:
Right bar enabled
Bottom-right bar enabled
Bottom-right bar hotkeys: Alt+Number
Right bar hotkeys: Alt+Numpad

Bars at the bottom-right corner, most right-hand one is the Bar10 set to 3*4 for miscellanios buttons, like profession spells, tracking macro, heartstone, etc.
Let, next to that one:
Bar4
Bar6
StanceBar over the very left button of Bar3 (Alt+Num1 - Alt+Num*)
Bar5 (Alt+1 - Alt+=)
Bar1 (F1 - F12) shift to Bar7 in Shadowform.

Yes, I know, I kinda bite my finger off with that stance-over-bar3 overlay, but seriously, I tried disabling StanceBar and putting Shadowform right on the bar3, and it's not very intuitive at login... sadly.

Then, if I need to play on someone else's computer, all I should do is to enable Right bar 2 and bottom-left bar. Et voila, buttons is all there, same all keybinds.

Re: Default Keybindings?

you'll have to set keybinds for your actionbars, but everything else should be safe

Hallo,

first: sorry for my english, my german is a little bit better!

I set up my bars with a brand new bartender "instalation" - when I log of with my warrior, the buttons at the "active" stancebar are changed when I log on the next time - sometime together with the buttons of an normal other bar.

I am alone with this behavior?

Chräcker from germany

Edit I have found my mistake. The addon take the bars 8,9 and 7 for storing the buttons for my stance-bar, right? So that I can only take 6 bars for other buttons.
