EBB provides groups of statusbar style indicators to show (de)buffs currently affecting your char or some other units (currently focus, pet and target). For the player, it can also show indicators for temporary enchants place on it's weapons.

Due to changes Blizzard made with WoW 4.x it's no longer possible to cancel buffs without the use of secure frames. Currently EBB limits canceling of buffs to out-of-fight since using SecureAuraHeader would have required a major code restructuring. This will be coming in a later version.

Version 2.x is a total recode based on the Ace2 framework which became necessary in order to support some of the longtime wanted and suggested features.
It's now possible to show different groups of bars which can be configured in many ways. Each group can be assigned an individual look and filter settings.
EBB can be configured via a dropdown menu which is accessible via chat (/ebb config), FuBar plugin or (for the group settings) by right clicking the groups anchor.
After setting up a group, its anchor can be hidden by alt-left clicking a bar or the anchor itself in order to lock the group in place.

In order to get additional bar textures and fonts for EBB simply install SharedMedia which is available for download under http://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/sharedmedia

I went back till November but could not find such type of bug report, though it seems to be a common one.... but if I missed it, please do not be too strict. My Problem: Hovering over the Icons, the tool tip is not showing up. To be more precise, a grey empty square appears without text. I disabled all mods except Elkano, but this had no efffect. I installed "shared media" but no effect. I am a bit reluctant to delete any "saved variables" or whatsoever, because I am afraid that my Elkano's settings will disappear ... and boy it really took me some time to set them. In case you propose to delete such stuff, any way to save my settings before ? Thanx ...

I had the same problem, and it was due to the mod tipbuddy. When it was set to Smart Anchor it would do exactly what you were describing, and when I set it to tipbuddy anchor it was perfectly fine. Don't know if that will help, but hopefully it will.

It got locked on my girlfriend's screen (the little dragging bar on top is gone) and we can't figure out how to get the dragging bar thingy back.

Log out and check there's a new version of elkbuffbars, updated a minute go, log on double check they are enabled, I tried /ebb config but the cmd wasn't recognized. Elkbuffbars were definately loaded but I saw no trace of them online.

Sounds like you're having the same problem I am. Some sort of conflict between EBB and another mod maybe, where EBB stops registering buffs, sometimes disabling other mods can get it back sometimes not. Not sure what the problem is, I posted about it a few posts down but no response yet.

It's not a consistent problem, but sometimes, quite often actually, the buffs just won't appear in EBB. If I have some other mod that shows them, or even several other mods going at the same time, every other mod will show them. If I disable every other buff mod I can think of EBB starts working again, and I can re-enable the disabled mods and everything works in harmony for a while until EBB decides to cut off again.

I'm not really trying to run multiple buff monitors, most of the addons I'm refering to are like xperl and pitbul which have their own built in buff monitor with no real way to disable just that bit, so I'm not sure if they're putting their own hooks into the UI even if I chose not to display via those addons.

I'm not sure if it has to do with the order the addons load and EBB likes to be first or last and disabling/re-enabling fixes that load order at least for a few tries or something...

Also sometimes it works for some alts and not others, where I switch between two characters, one it works for, the other it doesn't, with all the same addons enabled.

I'm using the wowace SVN copy with an auto updater so it should be up to date.

Has there been any update on this problem? I have been having the same issue. The only other mod I can think of that I have enabled with the capability of showing buffs is ag_unitframes, I got rid of xperl a while ago.

Doesn't appear the version here has been updated, however the SVN version hosted at wowace.com has been updated, I'm currently using it, and it seems to be working great so far.

Yes it did. Greatly even. Before, EBB would rarely work if most other aura related addons weren't disabled, despite the fact that others like CTBB worked fine. I'm very happy to say EBB is my new primary buff monitor.

About the only other change at this point I could recommend is assigning different colors to different buff categories in the same group, and possibly sorting by category. For example tench buffs at top in purple, with normal buffs under that in blue, and debuffs below that in red, each category sub-sorted by duration, but all one group. Unless there's already a way to do that and I haven't figured it out yet.

Well, that's exactly what groups are for...

and wrt CTBB not being affected: that's not true... there are reports of similar 'bugs' with CTBB... it happens depending on load order of the addons.

-Dragon- A Deviate Faerie Dragon Forum posts: 15 File comments: 25 Uploads: 0	Didn't realize groups could be attached/stacked together the way they can, thought each group was seperate and placing them close together would lead to a messy mass of overlapping buffs and debuffs. For those who don't know placing the buff anchors near each other results in them snapping in place and growing/shrinking together.
