Grizzly Shared Media  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.02

GRIZZLY SHARED MEDIA

** UPDATED FOR WOTLK **

this mod basically is a compilation of as many Backgrounds, Fonts, Textures, Bars that i could find from all the media mods out there. The mod is basically the origonal SharedMedia mod but with all other addons already included.

All credit goes to the creaters of all the other media mods out there, i only collated them together for my own personal use and would like to share the ease to you all.

To install this mod place the Grizzlysharedmedia folder into your Addon folder and thats it, job done

Any problems with this mod please let me know

1.01 - changed from .rar to .zip for convenience

1.02 - realised that some addons where not picking up my mod as they used a different method of retreval, although this is fixed, coding needs to be cleaned up

3.00 - Updated by request and for ROTLK, updated a few fonts, cleaned up some code, large version jump to fit in with wow version

3.01 - Fixed a code error

3.02 - removed some fonts, they were copyrighted :(

In the font section of your GrizzlySharedMedia.lua you have a an error.
Line 307 looks like this...

Code:
	Media:Register("font", "impact, [[Interface\Addons\GrizzlySharedMedia\fonts\impact.ttf]])
You missed the closing quote after "impact".

Code:
	Media:Register("font", "impact", [[Interface\Addons\GrizzlySharedMedia\fonts\impact.ttf]])
Took me 5 times reading it to see it myself.

Hey all sorry for the late reply again. Not had much chance to do anything with my addon as iv been chopping and changing my UI so often that at one point i even left out my own addon!!!!

My knowledge of lua code is pretty much Nil but i would like to keep this as my own work as im quite proud of what little i actually did (sounds sad i know)

But if you have any help it would be greatfully appreciated and if you come across any art let me know and ill add it when i can

@Beezleboss - thanks for your offer, ater i finish this note im going to update it myself but if you have any idea how i can embed all Media Libs so that i dont have to duplicate lines for each version and just any tips at all that would be so much help and id have no hesitation in recognising you as a helping author

thanks

Re: Update?

If you're not going to update this, i can take it over, just give me a shout if you want me to

Quick Fix:
go into your GrizzlySharedMedia.toc file with a good editor, you should have this:

Code:
## Interface: 20400

## Title: Grizzly Shared Media
## Notes: Adds as much media i could find into one mod for fonts, backgrounds, bars.
## Version: 1
## Author: Zerosugar
## X-Credits: Cridit to most aithors who created shared media mods, put together by me.
## X-Category: Miscellaneous

## X-Embeds: LibSharedMedia-2.0, LibSharedMedia-3.0
## OptionalDeps: LibSharedMedia-2.0, LibSharedMedia-3.0

embeds.xml

GrizzlySharedMedia.lua
Change
## Interface: 20400
into
## Interface: 30000

Hey Nanju

Not sure why its now working, i always use the latest revisions of addons, Quarts is currenty upto revision +72275 and its working ok with my mod

Try updating Quarts using wowaceupdater and see how it goes, my mod should not stop any addons from working as it doesnt conflict in any way as far as i know, it just simply says "hey quarts you can use custom textures, use mine too "

@ Zerosugar Once I read this I could see exactly what you did to get that look. Thanks! For that and the Mod.

hi zerosugar

ehm..i mean the way to install ..i placed your folder in the addon folder, and i checked the sharedmedia folder too...they look pretty similiar exept of the .lua and toc files....so do i have to overwrite something or copy your textures etc in the sharedmedia folder?

my first question was not good defined, sorry

@ Stahlmantel - Most addons you use will have options in them to use customs skins and fonts, they will just show you a list of what you can use including what i have included in my mod

@Moosetrax - im using simpleminimap as the minimap mod and using eepanels2 and my own mod to give it the gloss look
