DockingStation (Display)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.5.26 (Beta)
by: Vrul [More]

A display platform for LibDataBroker (LDB) based plug-ins. The display is provided through panels, each having sections (Left, Center, Right) corresponding with how a plugin is justified within it.

All plugins are disabled by default and you must turn on the ones you want to use. This is to avoid the complete mess that results from all plugins being on with the first use. The only plugin on at the start is the one provided by this addon to access its options easily. Just click it to start changing settings.

With plugins unlocked you can drag and drop them to other panels/sections and have them automatically adjust to their new location. There are no limitations on the drag and drop capabilities other than the new location for a plugin must be within a panel. You may also change the location of a plugin through the plugin options menu.

Almost all sub-sections of settings have a default option. The defaults follow a set pattern. First plugins check their settings, if default, they next go to their panel's settings. If the panel is also set to default then it defers to the addon's global settings. Finally, if the global settings are still set to default, then the hard coded defaults are used.

Note: It is recommended that you delete the folder(s) for an existing addon when updating to a different version. This is to keep files that are no longer used from taking up space.

Translators: To submit a translation please just edit existing files (example: DockingStation\Locales\deDE.lua and DockingStation_Config\Locales\deDE.lua) and send them to me.

Using 2.11 beta.

I have a few LibQTip addons with doubled content: Broker_Currency and SavedInstances seem to be populating their tooltips twice now. I get the normal contents of these tooltips, and then roughly the same content immediately beneath that.

The Broker_SysMon and Broker_uClock tooltips are not showing at all, and I'm fairly sure I have correct DockingStation settings.

Oddly enough, tomQuest (a LibQTip addon) is not showing the doubled content.

Tooltip Problems =(

Hi, with the latest version 0.2.11 I have a problem with most of my FuBar ported tooltips and some LDB ones. (I can get you a complete list if needed, just PM me.) The tooltips are empty, but sized as if there is content there. The previous version doesn't have this issue.

My Broker_Currency is now displaying double tooltips with latest version. I'm using TipTac also, not sure if that may have an affect?

narrowed it down to StarTip... i exchanged it for TicTac and now all tooltips are exactly how i want them to be...

thx for the help and keep up the work on the best LDB display so far!

Tooltips: i still have Problem with latest Version - previous Version works better for me

Some Plugins works very well: f.e. Ara Tradeskills, DynPerf, Broker Location, Broker Faction, Ara Guild and Friend

Some Tooltips use the full screen height, f.e. DockingStation(!), BrokerGroup, Ara Money, Recount, Omen, MadHatter

and ONE using FULLSCREEN: picoFPS

im using FuBar2Broker, still 2 FubarMods active - but THEIR Tooltips are working well

i have no idea...

most of the Addons WITH Problem show their Tooltip on the left side of the screen, starting at the top - not directly under the Plugin - but not all

I know this isn't much help, but I am finding that some of my characters have full tooltips working for everything and some don't.

At some point I guess I'll go through and check if there's a specific mod that is enabled or disabled for the ones that have blank tooltips.

Might shed some light on the situation.

P.S. Awesome work on the best broker display by far. I tried 4 others before a friend suggested this one and they were all awful.

tooltips working again, thank you!

I'd still be interested in why some addons use different tooltip fonts than others (see list of addons in my earlier post)

I'm using 2.10 beta. I am now only seeing LibQTip tooltips. My other addons that don't use the library don't seem to be popping up anymore.

The mods that have issues for me, are Broker TradeCooldowns, Broker Factions, Broker CPU, my own custom mods, might be others, but i dont have the rest enabled. I'm currently working on another mod which is having the same issue with the text, showing up like this blahblah.... in some of the columns of the tip.

The only thing thing I can find in common is that they all use the LibQtip library for tooltips. What's really odd is that the tootip is messed up on first showing, but if u hover the tip then move over the plugin in the bar then back on the tooltip while it's open the tootip resizes and text expands to full width.

Only tooltip mod im using is tooltip wrangler, to move the anchor of the game tooltip.

Looks like version 0.2.7 changed the way tooltips work according to the change log. A list of the addons with those issues and any tooltip mod you're using would be helpful though.

I don't think I'll be able to do alpha changes as it seems any textures imbeded in text don't change alpha with the text. It will have to be all or nothing if I can't find a way to change the alpha of those textures too.

Which version doesn't have the the tooltip scaling in it, the tooltip issue is becoming to much for me, text expanding outside the tooltips, the text being being shortened with ..., etc. I tried everything and it still does the above issues. I have no problems if i comment out the 2 lines that set the scale in the tootip.lua file, which disables the scaling completely.

YAY!

While you're doing that code, how hard would it be to have auto-fade (alpha) changes on certain events (combat, raid, etc)?

If I could only find the frame name of my Docking Station panels (hint hint), I can use Goose to select macro conditionals that I would like them to hide or show on. But the alpha would be groovy as there's some things I might need to see during combat but don't want them to be completely opaque. Just a thought, and I'd be happy with just the auto-hide. =)

Thanks for a great addon. Keep up the great work. =)
