That's pretty strange -- usually when people have a problem like yours nobody can see their events or attendance requests at all.

I guess the first thing I would try is run 4.1b3 and do a Rebuild Database under GC's About tab. I don't really have a good idea why this would be happening, but maybe somehow your attendance request database has become corrupted in a way that's stopping it from working. Rebuild Database should repair it though if that's the case.

Re: guildies gettins put on standby

If you're using one of the early 4.0 versions there's a bug where meeting events and generic events (those where you don't choose a type when creating the event) always put people into standby. Upgrading will fix that problem.

If you're running a current version, make sure the event is set for automatic confirmations by class or role and that the limits for each class/role are set with an appropriate value in the max field.

New changes to the expansion beta, making this addon no longer needed once expansion hits

* New Calendar feature: Players will be able to access the new Calendar feature by clicking on the new icon located in the top right corner of their mini map. The calendar will track in game events, allow raid scheduling, and more.

That's a very narrow-minded approach.
If it were such an automatic obsolesence process, SCT, msbt, Parrot authors should have dropped their development efforts when Blizzard FCT was introduced.

Yet those mods thrive.
It's just too early to make such a blanket statement...

Id still say that this addon would get pretty revamped when wrath knocks on the authors door though

You're right, if there's still a place for Group Calendar in WotLK then it'll be a heavily revamped version in order to work with the new built-in calendar. I just don't know what that'll be yet though. I suspect that the Blizzard feature will be guild-only, so there'll probably be a need for cross-guild calendars. I also suspect that Blizzard's version won't have the extensive support for attendance and raid management.

One thing I am fairly sure of is that this new feature in WotLK will make some parts of Group Calendar much easier to manage since it'll provide raid icons as well as a centralized database. The lack of a central database has been the main thing making GC hard to implement so it'll be interesting to see if that makes things easier.

Iam frustrated to the max. I know it the reminder that a event is coming but how can i move it? I read your faq nothing in there about the circle. I tryed 2 differant mods to let you move buttons,nada. So noone else has had this problem or did they just dump your mod?

Nobody else has reported this problem. Post a screenshot somewhere and I can examine that to try to figure out what'd be causing it.

I have noticed that using anything other than the default circular minimap causes the group calendar 'clock' icon to not display. The GC icon responds well to the addon Detached Minimap Buttons, and I am able to move the GC icon anywhere I like, but it will vanish if I reload my UI with any other Minimap. Detached Minimap Buttons can make the GC icon appear by toggling the 'Force Hidden' feature on, and then off again. However upon reloading the GC is gone yet again. This might seem trivial, but for a fan of nifty things like square minimaps and other addons, it's a cause for concern. --Disclaimer-- I have absolutely ZERO knowledge of lua, or the process of creating any of the number of addons that enhance my WoW experience. Simply pointing out something that I noticed.

Which version was that with? I had that bug a while back but I fixed it (I'm pretty sure anyhow).
