BuffEnough  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2023-01-18
by: neotron, nikkodemus

--About--

BuffEnough is a personal buff monitor that answers the simple question 'Am I buff enough?' If you're like me, when a raid leader does a ready check, you go through a mental checklist as you look over your buffs and gear, to make sure that you really are ready. Did I remember to do my own buff, do I have all pally blessings, do I have the correct pet out, am I still flasked/elixired, is my durability okay, did I forget to take off my riding crop, etc, etc. This is what BuffEnough does for you. It scans the raid to figure out what you should have, and then scans your buffs and gear to figure out what you do have. If the box is green, the answer is 'yes', you're buff enough. If the box is red or yellow, then you're still missing something and hovering your mouse over the box will tell you what it is in the tooltip.

--Commands--
/be or /buffenough - brings up the command line list
/be config - brings up the config UI (can also be accessed by Blizzard's interface options)

wow - this sounds like a great idea, and I'd love to use it, but it doesn't seem to work properly for me (I'm assuming because I don't know how to configure it properly). Perhaps someone could educate me?

I'm a lock, and I'd like to be notified when any of these buffs aren't active while in a raid:

- Fel Armor
- Grand Spellstone (weapon buff)
- ANY flask (Flask of the Frost Wyrm specifically)
- ANY food buff (Smoked Salmon or Snapper Extreme, specifically)

Right now, I don't have a flask, and I don't have a food buff, yet BE isn't reporting either as missing.

Can I correct this?

This is missing detection of a BC-era flask, even though its listed in the mod's Spells.lua file: Flask of Chromatic Wonder. v1.1.6, WoW 3.0.3 live, USEng client/server.

With that flask active on a character, the LDB display tooltip (via StatBlockCore) still states that "Flask/elixirs" are missing. Click to do an update, it still doesn't see it.

The character the flask was being used on, though, has the Mixology passive alchemy skill (new in WotLK). That skill increases flask durations from two hours to four. It also increases the amount of stat bonuses given by the flask (if you can make it, which this character can). Might have something to do with the issue.

Yep, that's an issue with a few of the buffs that don't stack. I'll try to get a fix for that soon. In the meantime, you can configure overrides to ignore the buffs that you know you won't need.

BuffEnough keeps moaning about needing buffs that does not stack with eacother anymore, like blessing of might and battleshout.

He's talking about this spell, which mages learn from a tome bought in Dalaran:

I'd like to see support for it as well. It does exactly the same as the max rank of Arcane Brilliance.

Sure, can you provide a wowhead link or something? Not sure I know what you're talking about off the top of my head.

Actually, I came up with a better solution, so I reverted the previous change. Hopefully that should fix the issue for all classes that have mappable self-buffs.

In WotLK, the "Static Shock" talent makes it so that Lightning Shield will be the standard choice for enh shamans, at which point I'll make it a talent-specific check.
That makes sense

Just sort of annoys me when we start pulling Brutallus and my BuffEnough shows me a red window because i have LShield up and not watershield.

This is not really a big deal, but on the other hand it defeats the purpose of only glimpsing at the corner of my UI to see if i am fully buffed (in this case, have SOME elemental shield up). Now i always have to mouseover and check if something really important is missing.

Still, this is a great mod which makes raiding quite a bit easier for me, so thank you for that (certain paladins that i spam with buff requests might disagree here).

Code:
r79106
- change shamans to check explicitly for water shield
Might want to reconsider that change

- In WotLK shamans get various benefits from having lightning shield up.
(last beta patch notes i checked anyway, where is MY beta invite Blizzard!?)

- Being an elemental shaman with tons of spelldamage, on some raids having lightning shield up is actually more beneficial than having silly watershield up, especially on DPS races (hello Brutallus) with a shadowpriests in your caster groups where mana regen is not what you worry about anyway.

2300 free damage > being at full mana when then enrage timer hits

BE doesn't see the buff. I've got the spelling correct - even cut and pasted from the combat log just to be sure. I've tried it with quotes and with out. Should I try underscores for the spaces maybe?

Edit: Typed in by hand and switched it to buff from consumable and all is working now. Thx
