I'm moving the latest version downloads to the Curse.com site this is due to the pain of keeping two addon sites going. Also because Curse.com makes it very easy to update. All I need to do is to right click on project folder and click submit, and it uploads changes and creates zip files for me as well as maintaining the change log and problem tickets system.

So this addon is very very much under active development (as of 7th Nov 2008) its just that the main page is now on Curse.com

Please note the version here is already out of date.

A global texture for the borders, like for the statusbar texture, would suite me just fine.

Maelstrom Alert

I Personally would like to see an option for sound on maelstrom, provided you can do what some addons have done, and make it still work with the game sound off.

Also I would like to see an option to repeat the alert on every maelstrom proc once you hit 5 stacks, incase you miss the warning for some reason. Not sure if that would actually be possible, otherwise just ping it every n seconds would do.

This could of course apply to all forms of maelstrom notifications.

Shock Rotation??

Forgive my ignorance, but what's with the shock rotation? I'm playing on PTR, not Beta, so may be missing some info here. However, All Shocks are still on the same cooldown. I've been praying for Shocks to have indepedant cooldowns, but can't find anything saying so.

And supposing i'm missing something important, i don't get the order. If i've just hit StormStrike, wouldn't i want my next Shock to be EarthShock, for the 20% bonus to nature dmg? The rotation always shows FireShock are my next choice.

Err have you ever raided?? You do always do FS, ES, FS, ES, FS, ES don't you? Of course you can start ES, FS, ES, FS... but the important thing is the rotating.

The reason is simple FS lasts 12 seconds so you when you cast it, it does dmg then leaves a 12 second DoT. Six seconds later you ES. So that 6 seconds later when ES is off cooldown you can FS again and repeat the cycle. This very simple rotation means that you max your DPS as you get the FULL dmg from the FS DoT. On Patch 3.0 its not clear yet as things are still changing but max DPS might just be ES, ES, ES, ES for your shocks "rotation".

When the rotation code was written Lava Blast was still possible so the best rotation was to make sure that FS was up first, so that if you got MW 5 stacks you had a FS up to guarantee a crit from your instant LvB. That's why it suggests FS first at present.

Now that this doesn't work any more the rotation suggestions are needing review, and possibly just removing them. Similarly with the suggestion for MW usage icon which now only does Lightning Bolt. So I may remove both of these icon suggestion things as no longer required.

Also with the latest build, 9061 at time of writing, only the shaman that put up the SS debuff can use the 20% nature dmg bonus rather than anyone in the raid, so its not so critical as it is in live to do ES after a SS to use your own debuff before others use it, if you care about personal over raid dps.

Can you please put the command to configure the add on somewhere on this page, preferably at the top? I really like the add on, but I can't figure out how to get to the configure screen to relocate the bars.

Sure np. Would have thought that /shockandawe was easy to guess and /saa equally easy. Would also have thought that you could have looked at the addon config section on the main menu to configure everything with buttons and dropdowns.

Maelstrom Weapon

I'm experiencing difficulties with the MW timer. When I start a fight, it works just fine. The issue comes further down the line. It doesn't show the stack I have unless it's at 5. Most of the time. Sometimes it kicks in at 3. But most times, it just shows up when I have 5.

The only thing I haven't been able to test is if its a bug with Maelstrom Weapon not proccing, getting some lag, or if its just a problem with SAA.

Edit: Did my best to watch buffs and with 3 stacks in buff frame, bar wasn't up with SAA.

I've been having this issue as well. Haven't been able to track down what is causing it in my own tests ufortunately. :\

I also have another aesthetic request for you. Any chance you could add an option to outline bar text?

Is it possible to only play the MW sound when in combat. Its uber anoying when your running around with it beeping at you with nothign to kill.

Sounds now only play in combat.

I've noted the after using a 5 stack it sometimes disappears until next 5 issue - its not consistent. I'll investigate tonight.

Any chance you could add an option to outline bar text?"

I am unable to turn the priority frame off. I can deselect the check box, but the frame does not go away, also as soon as I click anything else, the priority frame check box checks itself again.
