This Mod was created to have a better visibility when you gain buffs, debuffs and many more. Very util for shorts buffs or debuffs, it allows you to have in the center of the screen, or around your character, very customizable visual effects, rather than all the time have to look on the other side of the screen to see if you have a buff or a debuff on you.

Initially created to have an better visibility on the short buffs like "clear cast" or some boost trinket you activate, it works now with debuffs (whatever their name), debuff types like Magic or Curse, combo points, Aoe debuffs and weapon enchants.



How to use :

1- Type /powa, to open the effect browser
2- Clic on the button "New" to create a new effect
3- On the effect editor, you can choose the texture to apply to the effect, the position, the size, the symmetry, be creative :P
4- Below, select the activator of the effect (like a buff, debuff, etc...)
5- Enter the name of the buff, debuff... juste below (or a part of the buff, like "clear" for activation with the buff "clear cast"). Don't forget to read the tooltips for more help on ways to enter the names
6- It's ready ! Close all windows, when you gain the buff/debuff, the effect appear



You can so easily add new textures by adding them in the "Custom" Directory

Very nice! I love it.

Bug: It seems that when the animation duration is set to anything other than 0, the end animation is not played.

Feature requests:
I've set an animation to show when not active and for a limited amount of time (used for when Inner Fire fades.) This works great, except it (naturally) triggers at startup/reload/closing settings. It would be nice to be able to set animations to trigger when buffs fade explicitly, so they don't play in those cases.

As another request, I would like to be able to use all start animations as end animations as well. (Right now, especially the "top" and "bottom" ones, but really all of them.)

This isn't just a good mod, it's on par with the best mods ever made. It's also completely unique. Great work!! As a fury warrior, the Rampage talent has been giving me fits. The problem is that you have to re-apply the 30 sec buff before it expires or you lose the 5 stacks on it. Using this mod w/ the timer countdown is simply the best solution to staying aware of when you need to re-apply Rampage.

My only suggestion is that you add some type of skill ready (not on cooldown, have enough rage) check to the available options. Having something pop up everytime Bloodthirst is not on cooldown and I have 30 rage would save me some serious eyestrain.

I'm working on a new version (v2.34), and it will be available very very soon. I've just added a action ready check in the list of effect's activation, it will display or hide effects when a particular skill is ready or not (with mana/rage/energy check, must be present in your actions bars).

It maybe will help you doing what you want to do

sounds even better, must figure out how to use timers, souldnt take to long, all i have really done so far is make it so when i use trueshot aura a arrow appears, which is cool, will learn to use it better soon tho. you play a hunter, can i have your WTF files for it plz /beg oh and one problem i have is say if trueshot aura is on 2 mins to go, i will cast it again but my buff animation does not show, only when trueshot aura has totally gone and i recast it. Is there any way to make it so the animation comes on every time i cast it?

Playing another time the begin anim when recasting a buff, it's not easy as the mod currently only check when you gain a buff that you don't have (for True shot Aura, do like me, display an effect when you don't have it

For my wtf, I could try to send you, but all of my game is in french and all my effect's names too

Don't underestimate too the Aoe debuff effect, making a big texture or more on the screen will help very very much in combat

Adding a duration on debuffs on target like Scatter Shot or Silencing Shot is very interesting too. Like an effect that display the texture with "buff" text when you don't have any buff with name "Aspect".

Be creative !

problem with the bar activator

Hello,

first of all I'd like to thank you for an excellent addon. I wonder why nobody's thought about this before (or have they?) because it really enhances the game greatly. Now, I was toying a little with the settings and was trying to add my shaman shocks to an aura. Selecting "Action Usable", and then typing "earth shock" in the text box, and checking so it will only be visible when the effect is usable, and when I'm in combat. Ignore case is also selected.

Then I run out and attack the first enemy I see. Even though the shocks are all usable, the aura won't show up at all. I'm using Bartender3 as bar mod, and maybe this has something to do with it? Have anyone else gotten it to work on custom bar mods?

Anyhow, thanks again for a great mod. Five stars from me!

I'm experiencing the exact same problem, also using Bartender3. Any way you can build in support for other action-bar mods?

Edit: After logging out and logging back in, it seems to work now. I'll keep testing to verify.

Edit2: I've tested with another skill and verified that logging in and out seems to work. On a side note, I saw a video of a Warlock using this mod (which got me interested in it in the first place). In the video, some of his Power Aura's were of the icons for the spells he was using. Is that possible by default, or was he using custom textures to do that?

This addon is the best thing since sliced bread!! I love it on my newbie paladin--so much easier to keep track of buffs. And I haven't even started playing with the debuffs yet!!! Very nice work!!

When it procs you get a 4 second buff.
Find out the name of it next time it does, and it should be easy from there.

totem support

first of all i want to thank you for making such excellent addon, but i have a question/request.
i'm stupid and can't get it work, or power auras doesn't support totems. either way: if it can react on totems i'll be thankfull for explaining me how to make it work, if it doesn't.... well, i'll be even more thankfull for upgreading it so it will in future ;]

and again... what about some support for changing view? for example: i've made some effects that circles appear to be on the ground, as an aura, but if i zoom in, they are deforming and effect is lost. is it possible that textures will zoom in/out to keep size basen on character (zoom) 1:1?
