Call To Arms (CTA) has three main features:

1. Find players and groups
This feature shows the user a list of all players who are looking to join a group and groups who are currently looking for more players. This is a global list that shows players and groups from all over Azeroth.

2. Flag yourself as LFG
Using this feature, the player enters a short description of the desired quest/instance etc. that s/he would like to do. This information is placed on the same list that is viewable by all other users globally.

3. Find more players for your group
CTA lets group leaders create a profile of their group. This profile includes a short description, the maximum size of the group and the level range of the group members. Group leaders can even set the class distribution of the group members. This finformation is posted on the global list so that other users can view it.

CTA also has a blacklist feature which is a list of players that are not allowed to join your group. The blacklist also acts as an extended ignore list.

R12 Release Notes:

Version R12 continues to refine the many significant updates made in R11, with better French keywords in the filtering system, the ability to send filtered lfg/m messages to a specific chat window and a few bug fixes. With the new French filters in R12, the filtering system now works at all levels (1-5) on French clients.

RLD A Defias Bandit Forum posts: 2 File comments: 53 Uploads: 1	ignores being removed from ignore list I have spam sentry and all my ignores are not showing in my ignore list but they are showing in CTA. Only thing I can think of is CTA is moving them into its list instead of copying.

Sacha and I will be looking into that. Sacha already told me he liked to make this an option. Also we are thinking of using the channel of some very popular add-on and put or messages there. This should reduce the amount of channels needed also.

Oh no, I meant to update the beta version of CTA :P Glad to hear that you got it to work, but I will have to roll back to R10 for this page. Check the BETA version of CTA for R11b1.

From what I can tell this is what's happening: GEM is using a user configurable channel for it's communication. Default channel name is "gemchanneldefault" (without the quotes). Messages in that channel are tagged by <GEMV.vv> and have a form like: <GEM2.09>12-1152057350-GlobalEventId1ElfgirlMysticAlterac Valley51HUNTER0Corporal72.09:x> If you look at that message you'll notice a suspicious pattern highlighted below for emphasis. <GEM2.09>12-1152057350-GlobalEventId1ElfgirlMysticAlterac Valley51HUNTER0Corporal72.09:x> So as long as a GEM user named Elfgirl is logged on our server CTA is unusable regardless if you have GEM installed yourself or not. What I don't understand is why would CTA be listening in on the GEM channel. Is it looking for LF* messages in ALL channels? Is it possible to make it so it ignores the GEM messages or just doesn't listen in on the GEM channel? I'd be happy for instructions how to patch or configure my local copy if this doesn't make it into an official patch soon. (although it's not a problem I'm having personally, every CTA user on my server gets 19/20 GEM spam 1/20 usable messages in CTA atm) Thanks for your time. Thanks for reporting that - I checked it out and it seems there was an error in my bindings file. This will be fixed in the next release
