SCT - Damage  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 7.1
by: Grayhoof [More]

What is it? - A mod that adds your damage to SCT. It provides a way for you to see your damage in a static location. This can be useful against large mobs like those in MC, Bosses, etc...Can use SCT animations or its on built in style.

What can it do?

- Your Melee, Spell, Skill, Periodic, and Pet Damage
- Spell Damage/Resists and Damage Type (by color)
- Target and Spell ID's
- All "Miss" events (dodge, block, immune, etc...)
- Custom Colors for all text events and crits.
- Ability to show only target damage
- Four Fonts to choose from
- Can disable built in WoW damage
- Sliders for text size, fade speed, and on screen placement (with custom editbox)
- Localized to work in almost all WoW clients.
How do I use it? - First you must have SCT installed already. Next, unzip SCTD it into your interface\addons directory. For more info on installing, please read install.txt. Now just run WoW and once logged in, type /sctdmenu to get the options screen or you can click the SCTD button on the SCT options menu.

FAQ
How do I remove the damage the scrolls above my targets head? - WoW itself does this. You can turn it off by checking the the "Disable WoW Damage" option, or by going to the Advanced Options under Interface options.

My Wow Damage won't turn back on, even after I turn off SCTD! - You need to turn this back on manually in WoW. Go to Advanced Options under Interface options and you will see a checkbox to enable damage. Also, it is highly recommended you don't use the "Enable Wow Damage in PvP" option if you are on a PvP server.

My peridoic damage is not showing up in the combat log or on the screen! How do I fix it? - You have turned off periodic damage on the Advanced Options under Interface options. Make sure the "Periodic Damage" check box is checked, even if you have Damage unchecked.

I don't like friendly nameplates on. How do I make my heals appear over who I heal? - Friendly nameplates have to be on in order to show your heals. SCT will turn them on if you turn on the option, but you must manually turn them off if you don't like it (see Target keybindings).

SCTD damage is ontop of my SCT messages, how do I fix this? - I highly suggest you move SCT's message using the sliders on the SCT option menu. You can also move SCTD using the sliders on its menu. Consider placing it over you target bar.

How do I reset SCTD or load another users settings? - SCTD is tied directly to SCT. You can reset SCTD using SCT's reset button or typing /sctreset. You can load another users SCTD settings by loading them from the SCT option menu.

How do I change the fonts? - You can select from four fonts on the options page.

I don't like enemy nameplates on. How do I make my damage appear over who I hit? - Enemy nameplates have to be on in order to show your hit over the enemy heads. SCT will turn them on if you turn on the option, but you must manually turn them off if you don't like it (see Target keybindings).

Outgoing Damage Filter

Would it be possible to make the Outgoing Damage Filter of SCTD work for pet damage as well?

As a hunter I like seeing my pets damage, but dropping a snake trap makes a huge mess of numbers on the screen since their damage is counted as pet damage.

Roflzor: Check the "Show at Nameplates" option of SCTD under the Display Options. Should do what you're looking for I believe.

Sct-D Crit font sizes

Quick question for any1 who would know. I see in alot of PvP videos whenever someone crit's when the dmg shows the font size is usually larger then the standard damage, now I dont know much about how these things work or how to edit them to show it this way. As of right now my Crit dmg is the same font size as my regular dmg. How can i change it so that just the critical dmg is shown larger. Thankyou in advance for any1 who can help!

Grayhoof--

I sent you an email regarding the "SCTD crash" on WowAce.

HaseoTheTerror--

There are two ways to do it. The first way is to use Mik's Scrolling Battle Text (sorry, Grayhoof). MSBT allows you to adjust the font size, color, etc. for each individual event trigger. The other way is that some people use a video editor and add those effects in.

Hi guys, i'm new
I wanted to know if you know if there is a way to change the text of the damage that i do. (On the targets' head)
I mean, i saw lots of movie and the player's damage was on the head of the target but it wasn't like the normal text.

Thanks

Nucletron.

Just enable "Show at Nameplates" in SCTD display options and reload your UI.

I have a question, how to made my SCTD to show only one number of damage from my AOE spells? not to have all this spam from damage

Example look at screen ... SCTD ... sorry for bad picture

Thanks !

SCTD not recognizing SCT.

I truely apologize if this has already been posted. I downloaded the new 6.0 versions of SCT and SCTD but when SCTD loads it says I have the wrong version of SCT and it won't load until I add the proper version.

I tried /sct reset and received the same error

Is there another command I need to use?

Otherwise, thank you very much for the quick update!

Re: SCTD not recognizing SCT.

Mooshuu, it looks like one of the 2 is not installed correctly. Please delete both folders entirely and reinstall them and let me know.
