I just have 2 issues, sometimes when i am looking at the inventory and searching for a specific item say "consumables" after hitting exit the screen will still show some items as "selected" or "lit up" and the rest greyed out.

Also i recently got this item Wand of Ahn'kahet and after looting it.. would not show up at all in my bags, it would take up an inventory spot but i can't search for it nor can i move it around.

I don't have any of these issues with combuctor, however, could you consider an option for us to make combuctor as small as we want?

Thanks for making life easier and keep up the good work

Edit: Forgot to ask, is it possible to put in a search function for soulbound and non-soulbound?
I ran into those same problems, they're bugs, but not unmanageable. After searching, you have to remember to clear the search field before escaping out. As for not seeing items in your bags when you get them, when that happens, drop down the "Show Bags" bar and make sure all bags are visible in your window, ie one of them may be clicked off and not showing the items inside.

As for myself, don't know if this has been mentioned before, but personally I would like it if there was an option to turn off "always on top". Sometimes it's a little inconvenient to have to close my bag just to see the auction house window. But other than that, great mod!

can't open bank

Recently I tried to open the bank with one of my characters since updating to 1.7.2. A message in white letters appears near the top of the screen that says:
Code:
Cannot open the bank, no saved information available
If I disable Bagnon, I can open the bank. Re-enabling Bagnon makes the bank so it again will not open.

I deleted the Bagnon.lua in the character's SavedVariables, but it didn't help.

Thank you.

Edit: I don't know what I did different when I deleted the Bagnon.lua a second time, exept that I logged on a couple of other characters to confirm that their banks were opening OK before I logged on the problem character. His bank is working now. Sorry to bother you.

Options menu

It seems like /bagnon menu is no longer operational. Is there any other way to open the general settings menu ?

If you use both Combuctor and the Armory addon, you may want to take a look at this: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...nonArmory.html
Its a replacement for Bagnon_Forever that pulls info from Armory.

/bagnon menu was replaced by the right clicking of a frame. I plan on doing a bit of work to try and simplify Bagnon's design so that it makes a bit more sense. Odds are, I'll be taking somewhat of a OneBag approach: 3 frames -> 3 addons.

Can't see other characters...

I used to be able to see all the banks and bags of all my characters from one. There was an arrow that pointed down, if you left clicked it, you could select a character, or remove a characters information...

Unfortunately... on my main, I can't see this down arrow, and thusly, cannot see the inventories and banks of my alts :/ Any help would be appreciated.

Error when used with Skillet

I continue to get "LibPossessions-146: Unable to obtain items counts using Bagnon_Forever: Interface\AddOns\Bagnon_Forever\db.lua:315 Usage: GetItemInfo(itemID)|"name"|"itemlink"). Will no longer use that addon"

I would make the change, if I had the knowledge, to Skillets search method. Here is what I can find :

Bagnon_Forever Methods
-- ========================================================================

-- Returns the total count of the provided item id across all characters
-- for which Bagnon_Forever has data.
local function bagnondb_GetItemCount(item)
local itemLink = select(2, GetItemInfo(item))
local count = 0
for playerName in BagnonDB:GetPlayers() do
-- NB: We skip the current player. That info is dynamnic and should
-- not be included in the values we return.
if playerName ~= PLAYER then
for bag=0,NUM_BAG_SLOTS do
count = count + BagnonDB:GetItemCount(itemLink, bag, playerName)
end
end
end

return count
end

will make the changes if someone can tell me what changes to make.

Thanking anyone in advance----

Re: Error when used with Skillet

That error's on their end. I made a change to BagnonForever which probably broke the BagnonDB:GetPlayers() function.

Anywho, I'm trying out a few things with a completely rewritten version of Bagnon.

Mainly, this version is me simply trying out a different style of writing code, with a heavy reliance on passing messages between all of the interface components. Because of that, the version you're looking at may never reach the release stage. Though it uses a huge amount of memory right now (I probably need to replace callback handler with my own thing), it allows me to do some interesting things.

This version is also for me to try out a lot of changes to the overall interface I've wanted to make:
  • The first thing you'll probably note is that the inventory frame and keys are split. To be honest, I doubt they should have ever been part of the same frame :P
  • Empty item slots now have a background. This is basically just to see how it would look, especially when I implement specialty bag coloring.
  • The bag frame now has a new toggle button. This is mainly for space saving and usability purposes.
  • The bag frame is at the top of the frame. Bags have an indicator that tells if you if they are visible or not. Hopefully this will prevent the "my items have disappeared!" problem.
  • The search frame now has a toggle button. Again, this is to make things more obvious.
  • Searching for items now uses the Combuctor search syntax.
  • Added a carousel like libdatabroker display on the bottom right. This seems the simplest way to solve the "I want a bank stack button, I want a currency tracker, I want a bag space tracker" problem.

There's still a good bit of work to go (there's no saved settings in this version, for example), but I think its shaping up decently :P

Bagnon 2.0 alpha released

So, I've posted an alpha of what is Bagnon 2.0 here:
http://code.google.com/p/tullamods/d...+FileName+Size

This version uses the same folder name as Bagnon 1.x.y, and will trash your old saved settings. There will be no settings upgrade from 1.x to 2.x.

This alpha version more or less lacks all configuraton options, but the core should work decently enough. If you poke around the lua (specifically frameSettings.lua) you should be able to figure out how to configure scale/opacity/columns/spacing, etc. FrameStrata is not yet configurable (and set to HIGH by default, so your frame will display over the AH frame), and there is not an option to lock frame positions quite yet.

If you're looking for databroker addons to try out for the display in Bagnon, then take a look here:
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/cat108.html
Some databroker addons will mesh well with Bagnon better than others, and BankStack has a plugin too.

I have a good bit of work to do on Bagnon 2.0 still:
  • I need to design and write the configuration interface still. Not sure how it'll look, but there will be an additional button on each frame to bring up the menu.
  • I need to still write the event display functionality (ie, hide/show on tradeskill, etc)
  • I need to do a good bit of refactoring still. There's likely performance optimizations to make (specifically I know there's a good bit of memory churn when rapidly opening and closing the frame). I'm also debating if I like the saved settings design.

regarding guild vaults

Since bagnon's author has repeatedly said that he'll never bother with anything having to do with guild vaults (yes, we realize another player could change the vault's contents between each time you physically view the vault yourself, and that's not the point), I'd like to recommend Mobile Vault. It's not nearly as feature rich as bagnon, but it's still being maintained, runs flawlessly, and it has a similar look and feel. It's also simple and straightforward, instead of involving a lot of irrelevant stuff like some other addons which were suggested to cover viewing guild vaults when out and about.

I have nothing to do with the addon. I was just grateful to find it, and thought I'd share

OneBag+BankItems also did a good job with with the guild vault. Ultimately I came to Bagnon simply because when 3.0 was released, Bagnon worked and OneBag didn't.

Okay, this might be a bit far-fetched, but what I'm thinking of is basically allowing to "lock" certain items in your inventory, preventing you from disenchanting or selling them by accident. I have two sets of gear plus an RP set, and I'm sometimes having trouble keeping it apart from all the other stuff; if there was a way to implement a feature like this (alt-click it to give it a slight white overlay for example, or a tiny cross in the corner of the item icon), would it be viable at all?

Hmm. I wonder if anyone's written a tooltip mod that puts "Sets: xxx" based on your Blizzard Equipment Manager settings, like outfitter did. Something you might look for.
