oUF Quaiche  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v4.0-beta5
by: PProvost [More]

About oUF_Quaiche

This is my personal oUF layout. While I appreciate comments and suggestions, this is for MY personal UI so I am unlikely to change anything for you.

Before you ask, there are NO buffs or debuffs shown on the frames. This is by design as I use other addons to manage and display my buffs. You are welcome to change the code if you want them in your layout.

This layout DOES NOT require a separate installation of oUF to function.

Provides the following Unit Frames
* Player
* Target
* Target of Target
* Focus
* Focus Target
* Pet
* Party
* Party Pets
* Raid (only groups 1-5)

Additional Features
* Smart player/pet bar fading
* AFK indication by coloring the player/party/raid names red
* Lots more

Moving the Frame

In addition to making the layout standalone, I have also embedded haste's oUF_MovableFrames code into the layout. To unlock the frames for moving, type

Code:
/oufq
Once you're done moving them, you can relock them by repeating the same slash command. To reset the frames back to their original positions, open the options panel for oUF_Quaiche and remove the points from the list.

Bugs, Suggestions or Comments

Please file any bugs, suggestions or comments as a ticket on my GitHub project page:
http://github.com/PProvost/ouf_quaiche/issues

Credits

Haste of course for his amazing framework that makes all this possible. Tekkub, Caellian, Ammo, p3Lim, and many, many others for tips tricks and pointers along the way.

Couple quick questions I couldn't find answered anywhere else:

1. How do I stop my Unitframes from disappearing when I don't have something targeted/in combat etc?

2. Im sure this is possible, but wasn't quite sure where I was looking - switching off Player Buffs/Debuffs is...?

3. Any chance we could edit the Castbar colour, little hard to sometimes see whats being casted.

Thanks,
EG

I'm curious though, why do you want to clutter it up with text on mana? How does knowing you need 4386 mana provide more information that quickly visually seeing that you are 40% short?
I want to see the percentage I have, I'm better at number than graphics for the quick looks I do during combat. Thats all. I play a hunter, in 25mans mana isnt a concern. But 10 mans I bounce back and forth between aspects to keep DPS high during procs and regen when stuffs on CD. Seeing the % vs just the bar is useful for me.

BTW, there are a bunch of small-ish changes coming in the last and next build. I've eliminated oUF_Banzai support and instead built in my own Threat coloring system. Net user experience is the same, but the amount of included code (from oUF_Banzai and LibBanzai) is significantly reduced.

Personally I don't like text on the power bar, which is why I intentionally omitted it. I don't plan on adding it.

i like this layout,simple&clear.
but why there‘s no Powerbar(Manabar)text? i think it's important.will it be added in the future?
I've actually been playing around trying to get this in there. Soon as I have it working I'll post the code and lines to put it into the lua, if thats cool with PProvost.

I'm learning, so it may be a while

thats what it looks like now, its modified, ie no buffs or castbars, but still quaiche by PProvost. % shows hp % not power.

If you wanted to disable them, just change the loop at the bottom of layout.lua.

Right now it says:

Code:
for i = 1, NUM_RAID_GROUPS do
If you only wanted the first 5 groups, change it to

Code:
for i = 1,5 do
That will leave groups 6,7,8 off.

As for disabling frames, which do you mean?

Could you perhaps tell me how I can turn off the extra frames? IF there is a way though oUF or your layout, I haven't found it in the code yet. That could also be the solution maybe, since there are so few times when your in a 40 man anymore.

I run at 1200x800 btw. And the scale of the main frames work fine for me. Just for reference.

Hey Unkn, you're not the first to report this. I run a large enough resolution that all 40 fit for me, but it is a big much.

I've been thinking of going 25 then another column of 15. Thoughts?

Sorry... not gonna happen. I use something else for XP and don't see any reason to waste core central screen real estate for something that isn't about combat.

I'd suggest something like eXperitia or picoExp.

Hehe.. I hadn't noticed because I've got my runes in another non-oUF script. I'll look at bringing them into this shortly.
