Marth's MobInfo-2 Database - 31.3k+ Mobs!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.3.5
by: Marthisdil [More]

This is my updated MobInfo-2 database. To use it, just extract the MI2-Import.lua file and place it into your

Code:
<WoW Install Folder>\Interface\Addons\MobInfo2
folder.
Then open the game, login, and do /mi2. Click the database tab and click the import button.

I'm wanting to keep my database going - so please, if you use MobInfo2, PLEASE send me your
Code:
<WoW Install Folder>\WTF\Account\<account name>\SavedVariables\MobInfo2.lua
file - submissions can be archives (ZIP, RAR, 7Z, etc) if you like, but not necessary. Send them to me at [email protected]

11/29/08 - This current database has 31346 mob names and 21711 health values as well as White (and above)loot items.

*WORKAROUND FOR IMPORTING MY DATABASE* -- There is a bug in the current MI2 when it comes to importing mob health values. In order to work around this, you need to delete the mob health database (from the database tab in MI2) before you click the import button. If you wish to keep your mob health database, you need to make a copy of your own MobInfo2.lua file from your WTF folder before doing the above. After you do that, exit the game, rename your copied MobInfo2.lua file to MI2_Import.lua, copy it to the MobInfo2 folder, run the game, and do the import (being sure to delete the health database again). This will let you keep YOUR health values.

Hopefully I can find a better way - but for now this works.

11/29/08 - Updated with files sent into me. Added roughly 4K mobs and 2K health values. There's currently a bug in MI2 that is preventing me from importing about 7 other user-submitted files. I'm currently working on a solution.

I've found a small workaround. If you don't care about the mob health values, you can delete that database before importing mine, and it will let you import all the rest of the mob data (as well as the health values that I have). Seems to be a problem with the number of health values causing MI2 to bug out.

well, MI2 does *much* more than just show a mobs health/mana/energy... e.g. it keeps some interesting statistical info as well.

I would import is, but I can't a recent version of MI2 that works with WotLK... any idea?

You do know that health values isnt necessary on 3.0.2, since it's implemented already?
