    Cataclysm update: I'm playing a lvl 5 Free to Play Shammy, I'm not 100% sure if everything works.

    Totem Radius (TR) shows you where your totem's aura has effect on the minimap.

    Features

    • Track where your totems dropped on the minimap.
    • Track other shaman's totems.
    • Show a radius ring around the totem of where the totem's aura has effect
    • Rings appear semi-transparent when inside, opaque when outside.
    • If 2+ shaman drop the same totem and you're inside one, then other totem will dim as well.
    • Displays rings in the 3D world where your totem's aura has effect. (AVR required) No longer functional as of patch 3.3.5.
    • Adds totem distance below the totem frames on the player frame.

    Known issues
    • Talents which increase range or duration not taken into account.

    Diddo. My shaman is only level 30 and I only rolled him to see if this addon idea worked. My main is a tank and find TR useful to know where I should tank mobs.

    God damn, this addon is awesome. Been looking for something like this for my shaman, to make instance management of totems easier than a sheer guesswork of who gets the buffs and who don't. The near pinpoint accuracy of the minimap rings, combined with the ring colouring when in or out of range, is pretty impressive too.

    I've thinking about how good such addon can be for cople of years but since i was too lasy it happend only now.

    Can You make totem icons on minimap changet to colored dots? Can You make each school have its own unique color of circle (green=earth, white=air, blue=water, red=fire) ?

    Nothing moe real can be added. This addon can be count as one of the best shamy's addons ever.

    Diddo. I had the addon in my head for a while but didn't pursue it due to current instances not having map coords making the addon only usable outside/BGs.
    Then WotLK came and made such a addon functional in instances.


    Can You make totem icons on minimap changet to colored dots?
    I'll look into it, I suppose having a coloured dot would be eaiser then the totem icon.

    Can You make each school have its own unique color of circle
    It kinda already does. if you type /tr you can set the colour of each school's circle. The rings remain red/green though.

    Could you make the Fire totem show two rings? One for its radius, one for Fire Nova Radius. At least when running with AVR integration this would be great.

    1.2.7beta now has a Fire Nova ring around fire totems.

    I added this to the latest revision (r85). I haven't tagged it as a beta version yet because there's some changes that requires a newer version of AVR. If you really want these changes now, you can get the alpha versions of TR (r85) and AVR (r31) off WoWAce.
    The AVR author says he'll release 0.9.5beta tomorrow so then I'll release TR 1.2.8beta after.
    I must admit, school coloured rings look better then I thought they would. They dim to 15% transparency when you're inside, and 100% when outside. These values are configurable.

    No. The minimap rings are a single texture that's stretched to look the correct size. The bigger the ring the thicker the ring appears. I don't feel like creating dozens of ring textures so they appear the same thickness.

    random thought, has nothing to do with this addon, but have you considered making an addon much like this for other classes? i.e. say demonic circle for warlocks? would work the same somewhat as a totem except it's not really a physical object. and the 30 or 40 yard teleport range could be highlighted with the avr circle. i would do this myself however i have no idea how to write addons =3
