PallyPower  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v1.2.27 Classic
by: Aznamir [More]

Pally Power Classic is based on version 3.0 from the Wrath of the Lich King days. This add-on provides an interactive and easy to use interface that allows you to set your own blessings (Righteous Fury, Aura, Seal and Blessings) and automatically checks for missing buffs with an easy to read indicator. While in a Party or RAID Pally Power can be used to assign blessings to other Paladins. Fellow Paladins will also have to run Pally Power for this to occur and the Paladin doing the assignments will have to be the Party Leader, Raid Leader or Raid Assistant. Fellow Paladins can select the "Free Assignment" setting to allow other non-leaders to change your Blessing assignment. In combat, none of the assignments can be changed due to the in-combat lock-out. Button controls are as follows from Top to Bottom:

Aura Button:

Mouse-Wheel (Up/Down) to cycle though Auras.
Left-Click to cast.

Seal Button | Left Side (Righteous Fury):

SHIFT + Mouse-Wheel (Up/Down) Turns Righteous Fury on/off.
Left-Click to cast.

Seal Button | Middle (Seals):

Mouse-Wheel (Up/Down) to cycle through Seals.
Right-Click to cast.

Drag Dot:

Hover over will produce a tooltip on its usage and status colors.

Left-Click to Lock (Red) / Unlock (Green) – will auto lock after 30 seconds.
Right-Click opens Blessing assignment config.

Auto Buff Button:

This button is useful when a class already has a Greater Blessing ticking away and a player within that class had died, missed the initial Greater Blessing, just joined the Party/Raid, or has an alternate blessing assigned to an individual player other than the class assignment. For example, my guild will assign Greater Blessing of Salvation to Warriors but assign a Normal Blessing of Light to tanks. The Auto Buff button will refresh those Normal Blessing assignments on the tanks without recasting Greater Blessing of Salvation and wasting Symbol of Kings. Right-Click will NOT work while in combat. Use the player’s Pop Out button (see below) to rebuff Normal Blessings while in combat.

Left-Click will buff/refresh Greater Blessings starting with a class that isn't buffed followed by the least time remaining.
Right-Click will buff/refresh Normal Blessings starting with a class that isn't buffed followed by the least time remaining.

Class Buttons:

Left-Click will cast a Greater Blessing on that class. PAY ATTENTION TO THE TIMERS because Left clicking each class button more than once will just waste Symbol of Kings. Left-Click will also work IN combat.
Right-Click works much the same way the Auto Buff button works except that it's limited to buffing the players in the clicked class. Right-Click will NOT work in combat. Use the player’s Pop Out button (see below) to rebuff Normal Blessings while in combat.

Class Buttons --> Pop Out (*Player Names*):

Left-Click will buff the named player with a Greater Blessing along with all players of that class. This is how Greater Blessings work by design so don't click each player with a Greater Blessing. You'll just waste Symbol of Kings.
Right-Click will buff the player with a Normal Blessing. These are the ONLY buttons that can be used to rebuff Normal Blessings while in combat.

v4.0.11
Re-done to support whatever paladin buffing functionality is left in WoW4.0.1
v4.0.12-15
Small fixes, options menu adjustments, added profile support, updated localizations, etc.

v4.0.16-4.0.17
Small code clean-up
RF button takes place of seals/auras when they disabled, so there's no more gap between buttons
Added SharedMedia to optional dependencies to fix the load order
Corrected CancelTimer issues

Do you see a chance to include a configurable reminder when buffs are running out? Countdown and color coding is good already! But when raiding with a pretty cluttered screen I often don't even recognize them. Some form of message when buffs are running out at 1min, 30secs and 10sec would be great.

Kind regards,

["PP_BSEARCH"] = "Greater (.*)"
with
["PP_BSEARCH"] = "(.*)"
in the localization file (enUS.lua for English).
Any reason why it doesn't support the lesser blessings if all it requires is a minor code tweak? I have been on more than one dungeon crawl/raid where someone ran out of reagents, and no one had spares. Not to mention this would be really nice for the lower level pallys.
Maybe make it a check box option or something like that so that if some people don't want to see the lesser blessings, they don't have to.

Umm.. Duh!
Use LEFT mouse button to cast 15-minute buffs.
Use RIGHT mouse button to cast 5-minute buffs. For example, when you need to buff someone who died on a trash pull.

The reason why there is a 'hack' for pre-lvl 60 is that PallyPower do not support 5 minute buff broadcasts.

Seal Assistance

This is my favorite Pally mod at the moment. It defiantely fills in the gap with what was lost pre-2.0 (may Panza rest in peace). However, I cannot find a mod that fits my needs for blessing and I think this mod would be the perfect place to hold thi functionality. (HolyHope is good, but is more "pretty" than it is useful. So here is my idea:

I would like to see a seal menu that works like TrinketMenu. This way I could select a "pre-judge" seal and a "post-judge" seal. Binding each "side" then would be a big help in battle. With 2.0 I am assuing this could only be done OOC. Right now I am dragging buttons around toolbars as I switch my combat apporach. Help me Obi Wan!

There is no reason to be rude.
When I said:

I was refering to the pre-lvl 60 "hack" and why not integrate it as an option into the mod, even if the buff broadcasts are not supported.
I used the "hack" last night on a SFK run, and it was a tremendous help in keeping the blessings going.

Thank you VERY much!

It took me a while of turning on and off the greater blessings before it would finally let me assign the lesser ones to the various classes. I am not sure what I was doing wrong there, but I just kept checking and unchecking the setting, and eventually the mouse click smart assingment started working.

Two things I noticed. #1 - With the right mouse click, the lesser blessings are cast on the classes, but the counter does not start a count down of 5 minutes or anything. It's only when I left click the class, and then it starts to count down from 15 minutes regardless of if I actually cast anything.
Is there a way to get it to show the 5 minute count down? And is there a way to have it not start the countdown unless a spell was actually cast?

#2 - When I went to report the blessings to the party channel, it through up the following error:
[2007/03/28 08:20:58-72-x1]: PallyPower-2.00.48\PallyPower.lua:252: bad argument #2 to 'find' (string expected, got nil)
PallyPower-2.00.48\PallyPower.lua:252: in function `Report'
PallyPower-2.00.48\PallyPowerOptions.lua:16: in function `func'
Dewdrop-2.0-31058 (ArcHUD2):486: in function <...nterface\AddOns\ArcHUD2\Libs\Dewdrop\Dewdrop-2.0.lua:425>

I am not sure if ArcHUD2 had anything to do with the error.

Thanks for your help and a great mod!

Pally Power and Hybrids

Have been testing this add-on and I must say it's among the greatest add-ons I have tested so far. I’d like to say thanks to the people that put their efforts in this. I noticed that this is an add-on that is being improved almost on a daily bases and that's why I thought you maybe liked some ideas.

Currently as a paladin, the blessing system can get quite annoying in raids (or even 5mans) because the existence of shadow priests and feral druids etc. Some people need different buffs then the rest of their class. As we speak there is no support for this and buffing a person with a different buff even makes the class row go yellow. There might be a way for pally power to help you with this. I thought of it being like this:

- When you hover over the menu, the player names pop up and show the symbol of the blessing they should get. If you could make it so that when you shift-right click on a name of the player, the greater blessing symbol changes into a 5 minute blessing and every shift-right click cycles in through another one.

- This puts us in a situation where the displaying of colors has to change a bit. Once you selected a normal blessing for a specific person, the class row should remain yellow until the person(s) with the other buff have received the normal blessing.

- I think this one might not be possible due to restrictions in the game. Make the class buttons perform a cast sequence. Left clicking performs the greater blessing. Right clicking performs the normal blessings. Whenever a 5 minute buff ends, and the class turns yellow, you just have to right click on the class button.

- Enhance the timers a bit for the new situation. Don't only show the 15 minute timer, also show a 5 minute timer underneath it from the first 5 minute buff you perform. The timer restarts only after the first 5minutes are over. This can form a help if you are doing structured 5 minute buffs.

- Make the add-on remember if you set specific add-ons so that next time you enter a raid with your guild's shadow priest, the add-on automatically knows.

- Add a counter, which can be enabled/disabled through the configuration, which shows the amount of symbol of kings in your inventory somewhere in the interface that is always visible (not just the configuration panel).

Warcraft has changed and hybrids are chosen to be allowed to perform their hybrid tasks (well most have =]). I think this is a way to adapt the add-on a bit more into the "new game". Once more I’d like to say that this is a great add-on already and these are just ideas about new functions that might be useful. Keep the good work up guys!

Great addon.

But like the poster below me, I am having difficulty managing buffs on off-specs, since I have to do a greater blessing / regular blessing combo on the same class (enhance shamans, feral druids, etc).

I was wondering if it would be possible for you to:
(a) integrate the buff tracking with the new default UI buff tracking that came with 2.1
(b) create a warning message that you can send to SCT, or a specific chat frame to notify you that your [blessing of whatever] on [whomever] will expire in [x] seconds. Limit it to regular blessings and obviously provide a way to disable the warning, as it could get annoying / spammy in certain situations.
(c) allow you to set regular blessings on a per target basis in addition to the greater blessings that you would want to do per class.

And thank you for the work you've already put into this mod, it's a big help.

In the new version timers are tracked using UnitBuff function.
I'll check what's the dealio with SCT, may that's possible.

For individual buff I'm affraid I can't help. That's a defect of greater blessing and had to be addressed by Blizzard first. I'd suggest you to make a post of their suggestion forum regarding greater blessings and different specs.

Version number in the about message

Could you change the about message to report r40639 in addition to or instead of 2.00.48?
Perhaps just remove 2.00.48 entirely and replace it with the "r" number.

Alternatively, you could go back to bumping the 2.00.48 version number.

I'm just having a hard time with some of my guild's addon-fobic paladins because when I ask what version they have, they can't tell me (2.00.48 covers quite a few versions!).

Thanks,

Brad

Using ACE2 PP

While using the ACE2 version (latest, downloaded today) I lost my control panel! is there anyway to get it back?

I should be more specific....

the /pp config and /pp display commands do not bring the window up on screen.
