About Last Words
For years the critters of Azeroth have been a silent minority. Slaughtered in their millions by so-called "Adventurers" they have, until now, been denied a voice. However, thanks to the latest developments in goblin engineering, they have been given that voice.
Whenever you kill a critter, their final words will be translated and presented to you in the default chat frame. In addition, Last Words will keep a running total of how many of each critter you have mercilessly slaughtered.
Installation
Just drop the entire folder into your World of Warcraft/Interface/AddOns/ folder.
Commands
Three commands are provided:
/lastwords reset
Resets the addon, returning the running totals for all critters to 0.
/lastwords report
Outputs a list of the critters you have brutally massacred to the default chat frame.
You can now use the following options to /lastwords report:
- r / raid
- p / party
- g / guild
- t / test
These options will output a short description of your murderous rampage to the specified chat channel, for example:
Code:
Since 19:34:00, Thu Dec 11 2008 Sekrin has mercilessly slaughtered no less than 6 poor, innocent critters.
If you do not provide a channel, it will continue to output the full description of your slaughter to the default chat frame.
You can also use /lw instead of /lastwords.
Update
This addon is now WotLK compatible. With the release of new content just around the corner, and hence a wide variety of new and exciting critters to mercilessly slaughter, Famous Last Words will now learn the names of new critters by itself.
Bugs / Issues
None, as far as I am aware, although there is the possibility that some critters may not display their correct plural forms when using /lw report - please let me know if this is the case and I shall make the necessary adjustments.
Todo- Add options to control how (and if) new critters are added.
- Integrate the report and options into the Blizzard Options panel.
- Add options to output report in different formats (BBCode etc).
