Chronometer  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 28271
by: Bhattu [More]

Chronometer tracks spell effects (HoTs, DoTs, buffs, debuffs, etc.) that you cast. You can see exactly how long is left on your spells so that you know when they're fading so that you can recast or do whatever else it is you need to do. Chronometer uses the Ace2 framework, including CandyBar for the timer bars themselves.

2-17-07 (version 28271)
Added:

  • Ghostly Strike
  • Prayer of Mending
  • Devastate (refreshes Sunder Armor)
  • Wrath of Air Totem
  • Totemic Call (removes all totem timers)

multi target bars

Really good addon, love it.

Could you make it showing the timer for more than 1 target, coz i doted 2 target and only the timer bar for the last target shows.

If both targets have the same name, you're pretty much out of luck. There's no way for an addon to reliably tell the difference between the two.

If the targets have different names, you should get timers for both of them.

I like it so far

I will be raiding with it tonight as a Warlock in BWL after the drakes. I will post an update with results.

It is very customizeable and looks good. What does the text option actually do. It says '$t' but what can you change it to. Like can you change the font it uses at the menu level or something? Sorry I am asking I am just trying to learn how these addons work.

Thanks for the effort, this is the cleanest damage/health timer I have seen so far. And it is Ace2.0 positive, that is very cool.

The text option sets the text to be displayed on the bar. Use $s for spell name and $t for the target's name. By default it only displays the target's name ($t) and lets you figure out the spell by the icon. If you want both to be displayed, you could change it to something like "$t - $s" for "Target - Spell" or "$s: $t" for "Spell: Target".

All of the options should be documented in the readme.txt file in the Chronometer folder.

Also - a tip for a raiding warlock. In PvP or solo world stuff it can be nice to have the bars fade when dispelled (/chron fade) or when the enemy dies (/chron kill), but in a raid setting where you're killing lots of enemies with the same name and there are lots of other Warlocks' DoTs fading while yours are still ticking, you might want to turn those two options off.

does it only show one's own buffs/debuffs etc or does it also show buffs/debuffs etc from the enemy like a mob using frostbolt for example^^?

First of all thank you for making this great addon - previously I have always used Countdoom as dot/banish timer, but this mod is a great Ace2 alternative.

There are two things missing:
Seduction (pet) timers (I know you have been planning to add this)
And an enlave timer - which pops up after you have summoned an infernal or after enslaving a demon.

I would be really happy if this was added.

I have 1 more Idea to help targetting the right mob - for example when fighting two mobs with the same name - boar(a) and boar(b)
Is it possible to make the mod remember what debuffs the previous targetted mob has? If this is possible then a simple script to target the last target can be used to recast a spell on a target if this was the previous target.

Firstly, good job on making this add-on! However, as a druid, I tend to use my HoTs a lot. I was wondering, is there a way to filter out the timers for certain classes and just have it show the HoT timers for warriors etc.?

Hey, I really like this mod. I had been using Spell Duration, but I think I like this better.

I do have a suggestion though. Would it be possible to seperate the bars into two columns, one for hostile and one for friendly, and then be able to toggle them on and off individually?

@Bullraw: Just your own. Look for a mod called Antagonist which is very similar but shows casts of enemy mobs/players.
