Aspect warns you when you are in combat without having "Aspect of the Dragonhawk" (Hawk if low level) active. Many players switch to "Aspect of the Viper" to restore mana between combat events. This leads often to entering combat in the wrong aspect. If this is done, Aspect will warn with print, sound, and screen edge flashing. Aspect is completely removed for non-hunter classes.
Aspect can be disabled in the Main page of the Aspect Menu (located in the Blizzard Addon Menu).

CHAT WARNINGS

Aspect Chat Warnings:
Besides the Screen Edge Flasher and Sound warnings, the Aspect warnings can also print to the chatframe and the main UI error frame.
Enabling/Disabling these warnings will affect all of the Aspect Warnings.

Trueshot Aura Warning:
Entering or being in combat without the Trueshot Aura active, when it is available, will trigger a sound and chatframe warning. If the Trueshot Aura is overwritten, by the Death Knight or Enhancement Shaman buff, the warning will not sound.

Tracker Warnings:
Hunters, with the Improved Tracking talent, will get a sound and chatframe warning when in combat without one of the trackers specified by Improved Tracking.

The Automatic Improved Tracking Selector will automatically switch to the selected tracker whenever the Improved Tracking Warning is triggered.
The "drop down" menu to select the tracker is only visible when the Automatic Improved Tracking is enabled.
The Tracker Warning and Automatic switching can be enabled and disabled independently.

AURAL WARNINGS
Each aspect can have its aural warning selected between None, Hiss, or Hawk. The warnings are configured independently.

VISUAL WARNINGS
Each aspect can have its screen edge flash warning selected between None, Blue, or Red. The warnings are configured independently.

DEFAULT WARNING SETTINGS

Aspect Chat Print - Enabled
Aspect Error Print - Disabled
Trueshot Aura Warning - Enabled
Improved Tracking Warning - Enabled
Improved Tracking AutoSelect - Enabled

Aspect of the Viper
Sound = Hiss
Flash = Blue

All other Aspects (including No Aspect)
Sound = Hawk
Flash = Red

SLASH COMMANDS

These commands will open the Aspect Menu frame (located in the Blizzard Addon Menu).
/asp default - resets the default settings

I will keep it in mind if changes create a need in the future. It is no longer being updated and no longer compatible. Last edited by Draewind : 09-11-13 at 01:17 PM.

Yes I do. I was wondering at what percentage range would be reasonable for the warning, and whether the Viper flasher should disable itself. I suppose I could have that selectable.
