Had the same problem with the saved variables, so I decided to make my own addon which is inspired by this one. A couple of changes though, I removed the in-game config and moved it to the lua file, it only contain three very basic options though so it shouldn't be any problem.

And my addon automatically checks if your current spec is affliction (by checking for max rank for Death's Embrace) and enables the notifications, supports dual spec too.

However I removed the text notifications so all that remains are the sounds.

Here it is if you wanna give it a try prDrainSoulTimer (sorry for hosting on another site, you'll probably have to rename the addon folder after you extract it too).

What's with the setting always resetting themselves? Almost every time I raid, I check the options for DST, and everything is unchecked. I check them, they work fine, up until the next time I log in.

Any way to fix this?

Hi. Thanks for the addon. Could someone please let me know how to change the position of the warning, and the size? Thank you for any assistance.

Hi, thanks for the addon.

Could I ask if there is some way to separate the draining soul warnings out of other raid warnings? It may be very messy for a encounter and i can see the drain soul ticks clearly.

Thanks!

I'm using v2.2 but it still (?) randomly unchecks all the checkboxes (-> disables warnings and sound effects) :/ I don't even have it enabled with any other character than my warlock.

Also just a minor thing, could it be possible that the cursor wouldn't automatically be active at the "min HP" text field when you go to the settings? I always manage to type some d's and w's and whatnot to the end of that 180000. :P

I do want to say that an addon like this is 'vital' for me so thanks for the effort

Well, yeah. Back after a few month break from WoW. The check boxes should be fixed and the addon is 3.3 ready now.
If I'm still missing something, well... shoot me

I'm also getting the reset on the check boxes.
Any plans for an update for 3.3?

Is it a bug causing the boxes to turn unchecked, or is it something intended? Either way, it's getting rather annoying (especially due to its randomness), and I'd very much like to see this adjusted.

(and no, I don't clear out WTF/Cache/etc.. only DST has problems with its settings, all my other addons don't seem to have this issue)

Do not have folder "toon" there, only folders named like me characters.
I have deleted SavedVariables from the folder that is named by my warlock's nickname but still no tick sound =(

I grabbed the new version and everything quit working... so I deleted the DrainDoulTimer.lua file in WTF/account/realm/toon/SavedVariables, restarted, and it was fine.

Might wanna try that?

The language shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Do you see the Raidwarning for the ticks?
And probably obvious, but do you have the "play tick sound" option in the config checked?

btw, I really begin to hate that stupid API
