Loot Council is a new mod designed to help loot councils with a solid voting interface. Whenever a raid assistant or guild leader starts a loot council session for a specific item, members can either whisper their current item to the initiator, link in officer chat, link in guild chat, or link in raid chat. The mod will process the item and display it in an easy to use table. Officers can then vote for or against various members and see how other officers have voted.
The primary goal of Loot Council is to have it customizable to fit your guild's needs. You can control votes being private/public. You can have officers only be able to cast one vote or multiple. You can control which chat channels detect messages. You can allow or disallow officers to vote for themselves. You can set up which ranks are part of the council.
I love feedback and take it very seriously! Many features have been implemented 3-4 days after being requested! So please, leave feedback and report bugs. I'll try to get to them all as best I can.
Demo Video / Tutorial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJ5ysv8F3X4
Vote Modes:
You can mix and match the vote modes to fit your council's needs!
Private Vote Mode: All votes cast are private and cannot be seen by other council members.
Single Vote Mode: All council members are restricted to one vote per person.
Spec Detection Mode: Whenever someone links an item, you can detect the key phrases "main", "off", or "special". If someone says "MAINSPEC," it'll see the phrase "MAIN" and flag it as main spec.
Restrict Self Voting: Prevent council members from voting on themselves.
Commands:
- /lc - Shows all commands
- /lc start (itemlink) - Starts a loot council session for the linked item.
- /lc end - Attempts to end/abort the current loot council session.
- /lc show - Shows the main loot council window
- /lc hide - Hides the main loot council window
- /lc rank - Opens the rank interface.
- /lc add (name) (itemlink) - Manually add player with (name) and item (itemlink) to the consideration
- /lc config - Shows the options panel
- /lc test - Test who's on the council
Usage:
1) All officers make sure to set the correct minimum rank by typing /lc rank and using the window.
2) When an item drops, type /lc start (itemlink) where itemlink is the link to the item.
3) Anyone who wants the item can either link their current item in officer chat OR whisper the person who started the session.
4) The window should automatically populate.
5) Left click the voting options to cast your vote. If you want to give a reason for your vote, right click.
6) Once voting is done, the person who started the session needs to hit "Abort" or type /lc end

Also thank you for adding the test feature. It helps a bunch when people say they can't see the link but haven't updated the addon. |

Is this going to be kept updated? Just curious. I'm beginning to really like this and would hate for this to all of a sudden to stop development.
Keep up the good work! |

Hi, great Addon - I hope you keep up the good work.
I've got a question regarding the announcement which is posted to the officer chat (presenting the vote results). As in my guild not every lootcouncil member is a guild officer, we would prefer the announcement to be posted to a custom chat channel. Could this be done by altering some lines in the .lua file? In addition to that, is it possible to set the addon to inactive without relogging? What I'm thinking of: If we have 6 players in the guild who have the addon installed and have the apropriate minimum rank and only 5 of them should be the lootcouncil for this raid. It would be nice if the sixth player could type /lc inactive so that he will not be considered a lootcouncil member. I'm also curious what the "Master Loot Integration" feature exactly does.

There's a function SendChatMessage. Just to give an example: Line 354: SendChatMessage(LootCouncilLocalization["START_FIRED"], "OFFICER"); Change to: SendChatMessage(LootCouncilLocalization["START_FIRED"], "CHANNEL", nil "#"); replace the # with the channel number (still needs to be in quotes). If you want to use find/replace, you can do this exactly: FIND: "OFFICER"); REPLACE: "CHANNEL", nil, "3"); 9 nonoccurence in MainFrame.lua In this case, it would output to channel 3.
Disabling the "Master Loot Integration" removes this feature. |

Not a end of the world type of issue but version 2.1a doesn't show right in the check and makes one of my guildies spam me with the outdated message. Past that there doesn't seem to be an much issue.
Just wanted to make sure you aware of this issue. |

I really like this mod. The only thing keeping me switching to it is the inability to take bids on multiple items at a time. I raid 25 mans and doing loot one item at a time would take forever.
I'm sure this is asking a lot but it would be awesome if the mod could take bids on multiple items at once and store them in a queue or whatever until the loot council is ready. We'd be able to quickly move from one item to the next without having to wait for people to bid on each new item. (Which is a big deal when each boss drops up to 8 items.) |

A couple features I'd love to see is a way to export out the results.
Even if it is in simple CSV, an example format could be ITEM,CHAR,Mainspec Also I'd like to see a way to add info from the bidder. IE: [item link] bis 4piece bonus so we could see that in LC Another feature that would fit my guild would be an invite feature. Like the person who initiates invites the people to Loot Council. And one more idea, allow multiple items to be cached. Like on each page is each item being rolled for and you can cycle through them to get through some of the easier ones. As my guild does LC at the end of the raid. Thanks for you consideration |

In the current version I get all sorts of errors with the "Assign Loot" button and the "Assign Loot" integration into the master looter interface (I'm using the most recent version of XLoot 1.0, for the record). Now that's OK because I've never actually wanted to use the mod to assign loot. However, the problem here lies in the fact that when "Master Loot Integration" is enabled I lose the "Assign Loot" option in my normal interface. So ultimately, due to the errors, I am forced to not use Master Loot Integration which means I must manually start sessions with /lc start [item] so that I am able to loot items to players. Ideally I'd like to see the integration fixed such that I have the integration (and therefore can more easily start sessions) but also retain the ability to manually assign loot to players after a vote is conducted. If you want I can also recreate the errors for using the mod/integration menu to assign loot and post them for you.
