SellFish  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.1.10
by: Tuller [More]

SellFish has become integrated into the game as of World of Warcraft v3.2.0, and I'm now discontinuing the addon. Thank you for the support!

SellFish is a lightweight addon for displaying sell value data for items, originally based on ColaLight. The addon includes sell values for the vast majority of items by default, and will automatically update prices whenever you visit a vendor.

Commands: (All start with /sf or /sellfish)

  • /sf ? - displays help messages
  • /sf reset - resets the item database
  • /sf style - cycles between graphical and text displays for sell value

v1.1

1.1 increases the default database size to around 30k items, and fixes an error when attempting to view the value of an item from a quest giver.

Why use SellFish?
SellFish should currently use quite a bit less memory than other sell value type addons.

Just curious is it possible to to get this to list medion, high and low buyout prices from my KC_Items database? The vendor sales prices aren't very relevant for AH items IMO.

If not does anyone know of a mod that does this beside the memory hog Auctioneer?

Any chance of added a "Buy" value, missed this since switching from informant. Good for quickly showing how much you should be paying for reagents or vendor recipies

Nice Mod

As usual great mod Tuller. Any chance max stack size could be added for database? Right now that's the prime reason I still use KCI items, seeing max stack size is nice. Any more data I usually use alt and (shiver) Auctioneer.

GarbageFu use prices from Sellfish?

Is it possible to get Fubar's GarbageFu to use Sellfish to populate item values? I have been spoiled by Auctioneer and would really like to get the ability to view the prices in GarbageFu's menu. I'm very happy to be free of Auctioneer, but would really like to have GarbageFu working again.

Not trying to bash Auctioneer, just looking to reduce addon memory usage...

Thanks!

Re: GarbageFu... What we really need is a "standard" that all the sellvalue mods can adhere to so that any addon can query vendor prices without having to use a specific API for a specific addon.

Simple enough, define a global function, sell, buy = GetVendorPrice(item). This should take the same values GetItemInfo can, an itemID or itemlink, and return back any known values. Then all a mod like GarbageFu would have to do is check that GetVendorPrice exists.

Re: Stack size... Don't waste DB space. GetItemInfo returns stack sizes.

SellFish does implement cost = GetSellValue(item [, count]), but it does not implement the vendor price portion.

You don't need sellvalue if you're running sellfish
