BimUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 6.0
by: Bimwow [More]

BimUI 6.0

Quick Info:
  • This UI is directed toward raiders who want everything they need and nothing more. All required raiding components are centralized at the bottom of the screen.
  • Every addon can be configured to your liking via its own configuration window or settings.
  • This UI is made in a 1920x1200 Resolution. I do not have plans to re-make this UI for other resolutions. However, if you are attempting to do so, I may be able to answer some questions to fix some settings for you!
  • Please note, I play a Death Knight and have not played with other classes or class mods on this UI. You can add yourself whatever mods you wish
  • A WoW Interface discussion thread for this UI can be found here.

Download Instructions:
  1. Back up your current Interface and WTF folders (Fonts folder as well, if you use one already). Then remove these folders from your World of Warcraft Directory. Seriously, back them up. I will not be responsible for lost UI files.
  2. Download the ZIP file attached.
  3. There should be three folders in the ZIP file: "Fonts" "Interface" and "WTF". Extract them to your World of Warcraft directory.
  4. Open the "WTF" folder you extracted.
  5. Open the "Account" folder.
  6. Change the name of the "ACCOUNT NAME" folder to that of your World of Warcraft account, NOT your Battle.net account (For characters on multiple accounts, duplicate and re-name this folder for each account). Then open this folder.
  7. Change the name of the "Realm Name" folder to that of your World of Warcraft character's realm (For characters on multiple Realms, duplicate and re-name this folder for each Realm). Then open this folder.
  8. Change the name of the "Character Name" folder to that of your main World of Warcraft character (For multiple characters, duplicate and re-name this folder for each character). Close the folder and run World of Warcraft.
  9. Log on to your World of Warcraft character.
  10. Type "/reflux switch BimUI" and hit enter. This is CaSe-SeNsItIvE.
  11. Your addons should switch to BimUI profiles. Any addons that don't seem to be configured properly can be changed to the "BimUI" profile in their individual configuration settings.

Included Addons:

These are the included addons. They are not written by me. All credit goes to their respective authors:

It wouldn't be disabling so much as it is enabling a non-shift compare. I think there are addons out there that do this but I can't suggest any.

As for the settings not saving, it may be related to how you leave game. Are you selecting "Exit Game" from the game menu or are you simply closing out of a windowed mode or otherwise ending the task?

Aaah, I know what you mean. Type "/stuf" and hit Enter. Click the [+] next to "Player" then select "Text3" and un-check the box that says "Show Only on Mouseover." You can then click the [-] on Player and do the same thing for "Target."

Type "/quartz" and hit Enter. Toggle bar lock.

And if you could recommend me a questing addon, that one which shows that Green(i think it is green) Arrow that shows the direction for the quest i'm tracking

Not sure. I use the Blizzard default.

And how can i put on the Lifebars the Numbers?

If by this you mean nameplates, type "/tidyplates" and make sure the Primary and Secondary themes are both set to "Threat Plates." Then type "/tptp" and in the "Profiles" tab at the far right, make sure the Existing Profile is set to BimUI (although this should have been done already if you used the "/reflux switch BimUI" in the instructions.

And when i mouseover a item in my bag, it doesn't appear in the left of the item's box the box of the item i'm already wearing.... Help me!

Just hold Shift while hovering.

Sorry for all these questions..

Hey there.

To change the location of the objectives tracker, open the game menu [Esc] and click "MoveAnything" at the bottom. In the MoveAnthing window, select the first sub-menu "Achievements & Quests" and then find the "Quest Log Tracker." On the right side of the window, find and click the "Mover" check-box that corresponds with the Quest Log Tracker. This will allow you to move and re-size the tracker. Remember to re-check the check-box when you are done.

As for the hotkeys, have you tried typing "/kb" and hitting Enter? This is Bartender's built-in key-binding feature which overrides the in-game keybinds.

Let me know if this helps!

You do not need to include standalone copies of Ace3, CallbackHandler-1.0, LibSharedMedia-3.0, or LibStub in your AddOns folder. These are libraries, and any addon which uses them already "embeds" them (includes a copy of them inside its individual addon folder).

Also, including all of the Blizzard_* "addons" is just a waste of space, as these are recreated by the game client when you log in anyway, and don't actually do anything.

Finally, you can get a text listing of all your addons quickly by putting the following code into a text file, saving it in your AddOns folder as "addonlist.bat", and then double-clicking it. It will create a text file in the same place named "addonlist.txt" which contains the name of each folder in the AddOns folder. You can easily delete the Blizzard_* "addons" from the list, and then just copy/paste the rest of it into your description instead of including a screenshot of your AddOns folder.

Edit: I also noticed that the instructions on your download page mention a RAR file. You might want to change that, since the download is a ZIP file, not a RAR file!

The parent and anchor are both SkadaBarWindowSkada. The position settings in /kgpanels config should look something like this:

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the information! I actually used your compilation specifically for Forte. So many use Classtimers and FX is so important that I can't live without it, lol.

What is it and how do I get rid of it? Also having some issues with setting all the addons up and cleaning out some of the ones I don't want/need. Are there any ones other than KG Panels, Bartender and Pitbull that are integral to the whole thing? Thanks in advance! <3
Glad you like the compilation! Thanks

Let's see if I can help with some of these issues...

The grid is caused by the addon called GraphPaper. I use it sometimes to configure frames. I actually rarely use it myself but sometimes I forget to remove it from the release folder in the download. Sorry about that :X You can safely remove or disable GraphPaper.

As far as clearing up other addons goes, it depends on what you want. The unitframe addon is Stuf, not Pitbull, and you want to keep Bartender and kgPanels too. Definitely keep these, and Reflux (for the profiles) and SharedMedia too (it holds all the textures and fonts shared across different addons).

You also may want to keep Prat (chat), Quartz (cast bars), Masque (action button skins), TidyPlates & ThreatPlates (nameplate skins), and since you're a warlock I recommend keeping ForteXorcist and messing with its settings.

I guess what's really left is things like SexyMap (minimap), Minimap Button Frame, SLDataText (the time/gold/fps/latency text at the bottom), SatrinaBuffFrame/SBFOptions, MikScrollingBattleText, OmniCC (action button timers), GTFO (special raid warnings) DeadlyBossMods, Omen Threat Meter, and Skada damage meter. They're not necessary but they either add the aesthetic to go with the compilation, or are highly recommended for raiding.

If you have any questions about any other addons let me know.

Hope this helped!
