WoWglossary is a lightwight addon for some WoW specific abbreviations.
It's a very early beta version and the english translation is not very good (it would be great, if someone can make a better translation 
).
To show the frame type one of the following slashcommands:
/wowglossary
/glossary
/wg
Known bug(s):
- lua-error in "dropdown.lua". Error do not impair functionality of this addon (currently way to fix problem is to disable lua erros in WoW)
- on logon the dropdown menu will not show the selected language, but it's saved, so you don't have to choose again.
- a bug with german localization (see "only for players with deDE-client")
To-Do:
- fix known bug(s)
- add minimap button
- add more abbreviations
- some other trifles

Beim Einloggen in WoW stellt das Addon automatisch die gewählte Sprache ein. Es gibt derzeit noch einen kleinen Bug, dass er die Beschriftung des Suchen-Buttons nicht ändert. Die Sprache muss jedoch nicht wieder auf 'deutsch' gestellt werden. Gebt einfach die Abkürzung ein, klickt auf 'search' und die Beschriftung des Buttons wird sich ändern und die Erklärung wird ebenfalls auf Deutsch angezeigt. Ich hoffe, ich kann diesen kleinen Fehler mit einer späteren Version beheben.

 But I think it's not exactly the same. You dont have to search, like in the blizzard glossary. You can type in your abbreviation and it will show up the explanation promptly.

Isn't this already implemented in WoW itself?
Press the '?', and search for 'abbreviations' and you'll get a list of 'Common abbreviations' if I recall correctly. Might be worthwile to check that out first before you spend way too much time in this addon.  s, Fonjask
