Target Range  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.43
by: balyn [More]

This addon shows you the range to your target. In addition, there is a window that shows your target's target. When a monster targets you, it changes color to red and says "*** YOU ***" are targeted, so you know to feign death/vanish/fade/etc. quickly.

Type "/trange" for the options menu, and "/trange o" for the additional options that aren't on the graphical menu.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Happy hunting!

Eh, it's not really relevant. Even though a tauren's arms reach farther or whatever, he still has a 5 yard melee range, and anything beyond that is out of range. The addon still correctly shows if you are in/out of range.

New version 1.35 is up for 2.3 patch.

New version 1.35 is up for the 2.3 patch, with massive changes. Check out the new graphical options menu by typing "/trange". Also be sure to try out the new "show class colors" option, and the "range text" toggle.

Also, there's a new range bar that moves up/down based on your range from target. This is for people who prefer to see a bar instead of just numbers for range.

OK, I see it in your description (now). Somehow I missed it before. I'll try it.
Not your fault. I added it to the description after your question. It was already in the addon (in game if you type /targetrange help), but the description here hadn't been updated.

Yes, there absolutely is. Just type "/targetrange range" to toggle the range frame on/off.

Version 1.33 adds the "/targetrange fade" option. When turned on, this will cause the range and target windows to disappear when you don't have a target selected, and to appear when you do select a target. Make sure to have "/targetrange lock" turned on for it to work, since a movable invisible frame would be bad, and is thus disallowed by the addon.

/targetrange hide removes both range and target.

Version 1.32 adds localization for various languages. I have no way of testing it myself, so if there are any problems with it in foreign languages, e-mail me with an explanation of the problem and a screenshot at [email protected]

Thanks!
