I have installed this. It doesn't seem to do anything at all except put some blank option panes in the interface options. I tried the slash command "/GMS" found in the lua, but nothing pops up, no chat options, nothing. The blank option pages in Interface Options is "Guild Master +" when expanded it shows "GM-Sync""GM-Forum""GM-Premade", but none of these display any options when selected. Is this all placeholder at this point and the addon isn't ready for primetime?

I should have written a bit more info, sorry.

At the moment, the only obvious changes should be an extra tab in the guildframe called "Forum", and clicking the guild tabard emblem on the guildframe should show a panel with some info.

I guess I wouldn't see the Forum tab due to my use of the mod "Put Guild Back". I will check it out again.

Edit: Ah, I see it ends up displaying while using that mod after I click on the roster.

Is there a way to purge "Deleted" forum topics/messages? I did some test messages, and then deleted them, but they still show up as "Deleted" for their message content. I reloaded the UI to see if they cleared during the UI load, but still there as "Deleted"

Currently no. There are a couple of problems with completely deleting a post. One is that because of the tree like structure of the posts/replies, if someone deletes their own post, it would have to delete all children of that post, which might annoy people that have left lengthy replies only to have them deleted by someone else.

Another is that if you chose to delete your own post, and then go offline, someone else could reply to your post, thinking that it is still there, which would cause issues once you come back online and broadcast the fact that your post has been deleted.

I havn't yet thought of a workaround for this.

Where do you store forum info? In the SV file?

If only the guild bank tab info could be accessible from away from the gbank, and there was a way to compress text into another form to store the forum text into those tabs, then there would be a way to store the forum information on the server versus a synchronization approach.

Yeh all the info is stored in saved variables. I really can't think of any other way to do it.

I'm trying to use this addon for my guild and I'm the only one who can see the forum posts I've made. I'm the GM and when I make a forum post, nobody else can see it. When they make forum posts, I can see theirs and my own.

Also, after playing with the addon for a while, I've noticed duplicates of the options for this addon in the interface/addons menu in-game.

I've included links to two screenshots of the bugs I've mentioned here.

This is a link to a screenshot showing the duplicates: http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a146/IxionForte/gmbugs1.jpg

This is a link to a screenshot showing two seperate Wow.exe clients running, one of me on my GM character and another of a friend's account who is just a member: http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a146/IxionForte/gmbugs2.jpg

Also, when clicked, the options for the addon in the interface/addons menu don't do anything.

Cheers for the screenshots

I've sorted the problem of the duplicate items in the options menu. The blank options are placeholders, as there currently arent many settings to change.

The forum issue is very strange indeed, are you all running the same version of the addon? Does a /reload help? I'll try and recreate the problem and get back to you, thanks.

OMFG

Sometimes I want to strangle addon authors like you.

I load your addon, and log into the game, and your addon has COMPLETELY ERASED my guild info page. And replaced it with this "GMV1.2". Awesome ty so very much man. Now I get to completely rewrite all that info and try to rememeber what it all was since its ONLY stored on the server not locally in a saved variable.

Maybe i should label it Beta and put a big red warning at the bottom of the page.
Thanks for the bug report tho. I tested it three time to make sure it wouldnt do this, I'll try and work out what the problem is.

Maybe you should move that warning to the top. In my experience, most persons looking for addons just install them and try to figure out how to work them on the fly, without reading the information posted. Just a tip I have learned from making UI's in the past.

Yeh good idea. I've fixed the issue, updated the addon, and moved the warning higher up.

I want to say first of all: great work, thanks for the addon, been needing something with these features for a while now.

But I want to know something. When you're closer to having a stable release, are you going to make everything modular? The reason I ask is that I only need about half these features, and I'm sure others have the same concern. Don't get me wrong, the other features are great, I just either have an addon I like better (more features usually) or no need for the option at all.

Thanks again!
