ChatLoot  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.6.1
by: BagofMeat [More]

Dock Blizzard's new Loot History window into the chat box under it's own tab called "Loot History".

Features
- Chat tab can be renamed and is remembered per character
- Slash commands. [/loot or /chatloot to switch to docked tab. /loot help or /loot ? to list all available options.]
- Tab flashing alert is used to show new loot info is available. [/loot alert to toggle]
- Tooltips can be shown on hovering or clicking on the loot. [/loot tooltip to toggle]
- Reset command to return loot window to default size and function. [/loot reset to activate.]
- Adjustable delay timer to delay loading of addon. [/loot delay <0-20> to set]

To display properly for Aurora, FreeUI and TukUI: Download and install the plugin here.
For ElvUI it should work fine if you just add a short load delay using the appropriate slash command listed above.

ah ya that bug haha i had that one too but it wasnt as annoying, thanks again for a great addon.
Yeah if it still crops up I have another idea to make sure it works properly but I'm hoping it isn't necessary. As for Aurora, part of it's code is adding a frame that makes that glow like aura around the loot window. So I have a fix that hides that but I'm just going to release it as a separate patch for Aurora after I've made sure it doesn't break something.

Ok so to be clear, when you say nothing is it as if the addon isn't loaded at all and you have the default loot window or it's doing something else (making multiple chat tabs, throwing an error, etc). Also is your addon giving this issue? Do they both have to be enabled for it to happen?

Just trying to narrow down where the conflict is or if it's something to do with your computer, wow install, etc.

After many more times trying... I still am unable to get the addon to work anymore. I deleted my WTF folder, and Interface folder and let the client re-add them, then I re-downloaded and drag and dropped it into the AddOns folder, but still... no luck. I don't know what happened. It's like it has a mind of it's own and remembers me and just doesn't like me... so weird.

to answer your question, yes it looks like that even with Chatter turned off, now when i turn off Aurora the problem is fixed, but if i turn off Aurora the ui loses the style i wanted.
thank you, now question .. is the update you just released fixing that issue or was it just a normal update to the addon to keep it fresh?

I have the same issue with ChipperChat and Aurora enabled. It looks like the Loot Frame (Window)overlapps a new created ChatLoot Frame Tab (also there are 2 Frames in one: the docked ChatLoot Frame with his own background and border over a new created Chat Frame with his own background). When i set the background alpha from the Loot History Frame Tab to fully transparent, then the "Overlapping Loot Window" has his own "Aurora" Background transparency and Border. Then i set Line 188 in the Lua Code to:

Lua Code:
  1. LootHistoryFrame:SetAllPoints(self.chatFrame)

and it fits the size of the Frame like any other tabs, but the overlapping problem is there.

Sorry for my bad english.

Alright so I was thinking about it and I'm thinking what's happening is the mod is sometimes setting up the chat tab when the chat tab info isn't even available. So when you get a new tab like that it did what it was supposed to because a tab didn't even exist then. In the next update I'm going to try a different approach to loading the mod.

I understand.

To answer your question, yes I have uploaded the addon I'm speaking of that is mine. It's an ENB. Graphic enhancement mod, it does nothing with the Interface/WTF folders at all, in fact it has it's own folder and files that go in the main directory and not in a folder. Something most if not all other addons don't do, but the functionality is still within the Policy and User Agreement so you don't get into any trouble for using it. Same type of thing you can get for single player games like Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and it's predecessors.

Fixed that though. Id try to help more but im currently typing this up on my phone at work.
